I never realized just how good Rakim was until I went to jail, and my man Sonny pointed out that he never swore . He was so good I didn’t even notice, until he said something about it. Rakim allah the goat
@@Time4SumAksion021 say it again king 🤴 and you are seriously right about the God Emcee. Rakim Allah who is working with dj jazzy Jeff on a brand new album and he wrote a book called sweat the technique and it’s a statement that no other rapper or emcee can ever say,,,real talk and facts
@@AlexanderDivineEmcee I seriously feel you king and because they both have excellent musical backgrounds and can read music and Jeff has access to the roots band they can make a great album like they did for Jill Scott for hidden beach entertainment and they are currently touring together now and have you read Rakim New book called sweat the technique it’s a phenomenal book
Immortal Technique is one of my favorite rappers of all time. It’s a shame so many people haven’t heard this man’s music. His constant use of historical references are eye opening. In my eyes, Technique is one of the greatest storytellers to ever do it.
They strain to sling slang/ Im trained to bring game/ History that I arrange/ been regained by King James... no time to sip Mos(Moet) wit hostess/ never mind wit the total gross is/ I rip shows stay focused n split cheese wit soldiers/ while u hit trees and coast/ i spit flows to be ferocious/ and wit these explosives/ i split seas for Moses... get the God's rhymes correct💯peace!
The Coolest PeruViaCan To Walk These Street's He's Word's Are Deep Like Our Gold Is Thick! Born In Da City Of King's & Was Bred In Harlem Street's & Tim's, Immortal Technique MostDef One Of Da Best................ ( Q VIVA EL PERU EL CARAJO!!! )
Peace to the Rakim and Ice T. Two living legends. That leather goose Ra got on was dangerous to wear back in the day. You would get snuffed out wearing that outside.
This right here…”Shine permanently, only my mind’s concerning me, fire burns in me eternally, time’s eternity.”, is beyond the average understanding of people. In that short, but impactful verse, Rakim realizes that the only thing that lasts and is eternal is the mind…which is attached to the heart as well as the soul, and that should be the only concern of humans, because those three things…which the mind controls, are spiritual, and they never die….as opposed to the body. Which is physical and ends up dying
Why everybody tryna make it a fight; first of all, y'all can't compare rakim with tech, because they are rhyming completely different and about different stuff. PLUS tech ain't got no real interview in this video like rakim Immortal technique is one of the dopest artists I've ever seen live and personally one of the dopest lyricists that is completely underground, he is basically an offspring of rakim, with lyrics against racism / fucked up governments and shit, and y'all tryna hate for the great work tech did? No matter how much you love rakim, gtfoh. Rakim is superior in terms of flow and lyrics, til this day, but y'all buggin trying to hate on a brother that probably once will open the eyes of your 90's baby, or if you're one by yourself, like me, he will eventually open your fucking eyes :)
I still remember the first time I watched this documentary years ago being caught off guard just like Ice-T when Rakim explained his writing technique haha.
Stop, Ra all day !!! and night !!! " I'll take 7 MC's put em in a line and add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme and it'll take 7 more before I go for mine and that's 21 MC'S ate up at the same time". One of the greatest versus ever written. Like I said Ra is the lyrical MC, period !!!
Saying this means you don't understand half of what Rakim is talking about or have talked about. He changed the style of flow in the game which raised up dudes like Technique and Nas. Learn before you speak.
