It's just a shame they didn't drop back in late 90s early thousand's when they were both better. I have eminems style here. Scary movie was peak. Album of that would have gone hard
@@klla_km They were definitely not better. Sure, Eminems flow may have been better back then, but both of them (mainly eminem) have only improved the more they age. Eminem has simply gotten better and better with his lyricism, and is currently in his prime. His music definitely doesn't sound as good, but it is a lot better.
@@loopen Eminem is NOT currently in his prime wtf..no. we needed bad meets evil WHEN bad meets evil the song dropped. When scary movies dropped. This was good em and royce..em sucks so much now stop the cap
It's dope seeing the next generation digging through ems work. We need to appreciate the fact we're alive to witness it. I don't think they'll ever be a better rapper with as much material as em.
Love you guys! Bad Meets Evil is the group of Eminem & Royce da 5'9''. First appearing as a group on Em's first major studio album, The Slim Shady LP, on the self titled track, Bad Meets Evil. They also have an entire 11 song project together that this song Fast Lane is on called, Bad Meets Evil - Hell: The Sequel. Also other songs like Scary Movies. If you dig this, wait until you've heard the other tracks from them, as a group!
Jack Kevorkian was a doctor back in the day who used to help people die (assisted death/suicide for people who were really sick), people called him Dr Death infamously. It's a fascinating story and hard bar!
In a song Royce said before the fame he was at the hospital because his wife was giving birth in the same hospital that his grandma passed away the same night. It was a huge impact on his career as he also met Eminem that night and had a major performance. So he had to choose between saying goodbye to grandma, watching the birth of his firstborn or killing it at the performance. He performed. His grandma and wife were on 5th and 9th floors of the hospital.
Soo thats why he call himself Royce the 5 9... He chose to perform and so has to live with what he decided and its his moniker. Damn... thats really deep and significant.
Royce Da 5'9 is so hard, he's the only artist Em considered worthy enough to spit with on an entire album as a duo. That whole Bad Meets Evil album goes HAM. Also to clarify: Bad Meets Evil IS Em and Royce as a duo.
This is their 2nd project together. Look hard enough and you can find their EP and freestyles from 98-01. It's absolutely criminal that they have only ONE mainline album
This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone keep up with Eminem. He Royce went toe to toe with Eminem. And yeah this brings back childhood memories haha
This track is a great example of why people have been wanting a a new CD from them for so long. The CD is fire. They elevate each others game perfectly.
You know Eminem says Royce is a rapper that is better than him? Just want to toss that out there because Royce gets caught in the shade because of him being so much bigger. Royce can rap
@@choice12ozborne Royce prolly is the only rapper who could match Em's level in a song him and Wayne i have never seen anyone else so he might be right
The "I'm a poet relaxed in orbit while captain Morgan attacks my organs" the poetry in that is fire, and the best part is the following line where he says "my slow flow is euphoric, it's like I rap endorphins".... As hard as Em goes on this song, I especially like the "stuttering" part where he then rhymes while stuttering the next several bars... Still, as hard as Em is on this track, Royce goes harder to me...
@@MrKnowledge0014 I kinda hope he does because then he’ll realize the whole verse is about here. A lot of people hear him say her name but don’t put it together that he’s actually referencing her and her case the entire verse lol
None of them are that very smart, but this isn’t a bar breakdown channel. They are just reacting to dope songs so can’t blame them for not catching every bar.
I've always enjoyed listening to Eminem. There's something with his voice that it makes it so comfortable to listen to. And this sounds absolutely wonderful.
Man ngl I was so happy when homie knew the Michael Jackson bar 😂😂😂 and yo honestly Brandon (guy in Sublime shirt) gotta be my favorite. Love how he pays attention and will say "damn that was hard" when he catches the bar 😂👍 much love CF!!
1999 Slim Shady LP: “Bad Meets Evil” with Eminem and Royce. Worth a listen for sure. Final line of the song: “See you in Hell for the sequel”. Then 10 years later the two put out a full album together and call it “Hell: The Sequel”. So good. Y’all should 100% listen to the 1999 original, followed by “Welcome to Hell” (the first track on the 2011 album. It’s 🔥
Since y'all have now started reacting to Royce and Em's duo, please react to the "Bad Meets Evil" song on Eminem's Slim Shady LP to add context to the name of their duo.
Royce said "Dig up the corpse of Jack Kevorkian" ... Jack Kevorkian was a doctor that helped terminally ill patience in his hospital medically kill themselves; the patience were going to die anyway & instead of just waiting in the hospital until they did, they asked the doctor to administer medicine to just make them go to sleep & then die in their sleep. It was a huge controversy in the 1990s over medically assisted suicide.
This album is a masterpiece, nobody can stand next to Eminem and not get instantly buried except Royce and this album is proof of that. They just one up each other over and over, it’s an amazing ride.
The guy singing the chorus is named Sly Jordan. He's usually just a song writer but jumped on this track because he said he wasn't missing the opportunity to do a track with Eminem and Royce.
"5 9" Comes from the fact that his son and grandmother died in the same hospital on the same night. His son was born on the 9th floor, and his grandma died on the 5th floor. AND that same night he performed a show, and after that show is when he was introduced to Eminem for the first time by Proof. So, suffice to say, that night changeed and defined his whole life.
BOTH BANGERS. Em's opening line of I Will is one of the hardest. "Now this will probably be the most illest shit that I've ever said God bless the dead and let Biggie possess the pencil lead"
One of the baddest duets rap has ever had in this song. "L8ght your own cigarette with your asshole" was soooooo hard. Tight ass people he was speaking on. I died. Royce solidified himself with this album
Brandon keep spitting your knowledge, it's what make you, you. Nevermind if you could be wrong sometimes, atleast ur sparking a discussion and letting these guys think
bad meets evil was introduced by em and royce in the slim shady lp album on the song bad meets evil and at the end of the song they say see you in the sequel which about 10 or so years later they came out with the album bad meets evil with fast lane being one of the singles for it if I'm not mistaken much love bros
how they transition from one to another was the best part for me, like everything else too, but how they change on point and flow remains the same is brilliant.
Em and Royce did a song called Bad Meets Evil and that song ends with "we'll see you in hell" and the first song on their album "Bad Meets Evil" is "Welcome to Hell" 🔥
The whole album is a flow, listen in order from track 1 through the end, echo is one of my fav but they all so good! Royce is Bad, meets Evil, Eminem. The way they flow off of each other. ❤
Jack Kevorkian is a Dr who assisted over 130 people with planned suicide. So, Royce is going to raise him up from the dead to assist you with your suicide because that's what you would be committing if you went at him. Bar!
This was a fire 🔥 bar to me 🔥🔥 enterin' in the vicinity Now, was called M&M But he threw away the candy and ate the rapper Chewed him up and spitted him out.
@@cavonbenoit8416 Not sounding like a stan or anything, but Tech N9ne doesn't even compare to Eminem. Tech N9ne can spit, but he's not on Em's level. Busta can rap faster than Em but Busta's bars fall short of Em's...and yes I've heard Em and Bust on their collabs. Royce is about the only person I think that can be in talks of Em's successor in terms of lyricism but Em's word play is just on it's own level.
My Youngn!! I'm glad this was played. NOW you have any idea of who Royce is! Bad meets Evil is one of the greatest Hip-hop collectives ever!! All can vouch for it.Each of you should give a listen. If yall can squeeze it in, do "The Reunion".
Man, I haven't heard this song in mad long, and it's definitely in the playlists. I remember when this shit dropped 🔥 . Sly Jordan is the dude on the hook. And the part where Royce mentions selling the soul, he speaks on diggin up the bones of Dr Jack Kavorkian, also know as "Dr Death", a controversial Dr known for euthanizing more than 100 of his terminal patients...also from Detroit. And since Slaughterhouse appears at the end of the video, I highly recommend you check out Bad Meets Evil - Loud Noises (feat Slaughterhouse) SLAUGHTERHOUSE - Sound Off
You should really really check out their song either "all I can think about" or "above the law" you'll be done the first one will leave y'all speechless
The Royce line is: "I made a pact with the devil that says "I'll let you take me, you let me take a shovel Dig up the corpse of Jack Kevorkian". Jack Kevorkian was a controversial Pathologist (scientist). He was a big supporter of human euthanasian (assisted suicide) on terminally ill patients and actually helped perform the procedure on more than 130 people who willingly wanted to take their own lives. Allegedly. He died in 2011, around the time this song dropped.
He said, "let me dig up the corpse of Jack Kevorkian." Jack Kevorkian was a Doctor who became famous for assisting his terminally ill Patients in suicide. There was a huge case made out of it.
Em and Royce started out together in the rap duo Bad Meets Evil... Royce is a big part of the reason why Em is nice wit the bars... Iron sharpens iron... Royce's vocabulary and articulation during rhyme delivery is ridiculous!
I've been watching alot of your videos lately and I'm a huge a fan of you guys keep up the good work. I'm also a huge fan of em like you guys and there are a few em songs I would like you guys to react to like a kiss and welcome 2 hell with royce and loud noises all from the same album btw, don't front, asshole, psychopath killer, framed and psycho with 50 cent. Much love
Royce is one of the coldest rappers to come out of Detroit, dude is incredibly slept on , yall should watch his LA leakers freestyle, it will blow your mind
Bad Meets Evil is the rap group composed of Royce (Bad) and Eminem (Evil). The person singing the chorus is Sly Pyper. He is on a few tracks with Eminem.
There's a song on the 8 Mile soundtrack but I never hear anybody talk about, it's called a run Rabbit Run. It's literally just one long four to five minute verse With No Chorus no hook no nothing it's one of my favorites it's absolutely amazing.
I feel like it hasn't been pointed out enough in the comments that Bad Meets Evil is indeed the name of the rap duo consisting of Eminem and Royce da 5'9". So... there it is?
