Great review! It was interesting to see how the artist used functions that I had never explored before. I mostly use my iPad for project management, so I don't find it worth upgrading this time around.
This is a great review for the M4 iPad Pro, especially when you specified your experiences with your previous tools. I find your review more objective compared to most iPad M4 pro reviews which lean toward the tech rather than usage for artists. I am still thinking about whether to upgrade my tools since they have been around for a long time (iPad Pro 2017). As I 'upgraded' the way I work (canvas dimension, more layers, more tools), I can surely say I feel so limited with the memory and with how the new iPad OS won't be supported on my current iPad (I think it wouldn't be a best use 3 years from the time the OS upgrade stop). I was wondering when I need to upgrade the tools. I am still not sure if upgrading now maximized the worth of the budget, since I do art on PC too which mitigates the heavy usage of bigger files. It kind of lacks mobility, but maybe I should just limit the usage on the current iPad. Maybe I should wait until the price got lowered while figuring out the improvement more on the art fundamentals side. Thank you for the video, It helps a lot in deciding whether I should upgrade now or not.
I try to make these videos as honest as I can based on my experience at that moment. Apple products tend to last a decade when taken care of properly. I also use a Macbook Pro for heavier stuff. Good luck on making that decision. In the meantime, keep working on those fundamentals - that’s the real and true art upgrade.
Thanks for the review. I also have the iPad Air 2020 and I use it to edit my videos. Definitely not worth the upgrade yet 'cause my iPad still works perfectly.
just wanna know what to do if my ipad pro m4 (13’) battery goes down faster , i mean in 20 min 5% is lost, no background apps open, brightness 50% power mode on i follows all the three steps mentioned above , then too my ipad pro drains battery 5% in 20 min which is not satisfying!! i only make notes in my tab and when power mode is off , at 50% brightness , 1% battery drains at every 3 min pls do help and give your suggestions pls help
