The Artemis PR900W is tested at 45m in windy conditions. Different pellets are tested for velocities. This rifle is ideal for beginners or for smaller people. A great way to get youngsters interested in airgunning. Garett Muller looks at the positives and the negatives of this, the cheapest multishot PCP in South Africa. Garett, of Air Rifle Evolution South Africa, gives his honest opinion about the rifle after about 1000 shots fired by him and visitors to a shooting range on the holiday resort called Marula Oasis in Bela Bela, Limpopo.
It is accurate, powerful and reliable for an entry-level PCP

Baie dankie vir die review. Very well done. Ek het een gekry vir my en die junior om te gebruik. Een ding om by te voeg is die kostes van die refill. Dit is so duur soos die air-gun. Maar ek stel voor koop nuut, moet nie 2'nd hand gaan op die bottel nie. Dit moets getoets word vir drukking en veiligheid -- vir 'n rede.

That pcp is amazing with 3 mods on the barrel and shots more accurate than some regulated pcp . First the barrel floats to much so have a barrel ring made and fit it 100mm back from the filling hole . Were the pellet enters the barrel it is very ruff and the pellet stick and get damaged so use a dremel and grind an tamper 5mm in till the pellet enters smoothly . Have an gun smith or turn an 15 degree taper on the end of the barrel .

I have a dianna stormrider. (Same airgun) i have shot most of the h& n .22 pellets and a hand full of others. My airgun really likes the field target trophy and the barracuda 15 gain

Jacob, yes, the H&N pellets are very good. Some guys are getting excellent results with the 13gr JSB as well. I find that the 900 gets better results with slower velocities and heavier pellets. 18gr is a little to slow and sometimes do not stabilize. Good to hear from you!!!!

Clint, this one has a 3-9X40 T-Eagle scope on. If you can, get something with a 12 magnification and fine crosshairs. The gun is much more accurate than what the scope allows. It also depends on what you want to use the gun for.

Discovery, Hawke, Vector, ... Any will do because there is no recoil. Even flee market scopes will do.

Sean. Baie dankie vir jou terugvoer. Jy kan omtrent 3 magasyne (21 skote vir die .22) akkuraat skiet voor jy moet pomp. Ek het selfs 40 skote met ligter pellets gekry. Daardie video sal uitkom sodra my arm uit gips uit is.

Garett, what are your thoughts about filling with a tank, a compressor, or foot pump ?

Terry, I will suggest a dive cylinder or carbon fibre bottle. The cylinder on the gun is small and fills to 200 barr, so if you don't mind the effort, the hand pump will do well. Go with the compressor if you are planning to get more pcp rifles. It is not as quick as a dive cylinder, but you will always have air. This answer is all about personal taste. Handpump = R2500-R4000. Dive cylinder = R2500-R4000. Carbon fibre = R4000-R10 000. Compressor=R7000-R12 000. Estimates

Where in SA can I get one of these? I noticed a lot of them are the previous generation (with the iron sights mounted on the suppressor). but I'm looking for the exact one you have (the threaded suppressor). Thanks for the video.

Hi John. This might not be in the same league as the more expensive rifles, but it is an affordable way to get people started in pcp here in SA. It costs about R3600 in SA. The Gamo Arrow sells here for about R5500. The Krals start at about R6500. FX Impact for about R45000 and the Daystates tops it out at R92000. There are many rifles out there, but, as said, good starter rifle. The 4 we had for the shooting range did a good job. We had to tighten some screws once in a while, but they did their duty. Sorry about your bad experience.
