RU-vid tried to block this video so many times, so lets cross our fingers😅🤞! Hope you guys enjoyed (and hope you don't mind the blur in some reactions:)!🔥
No way this is one of the last ones I expected to be a video! This series is just like other ones I watch that's not popular at all. Now I have hope for y'all make a video for all OP for Golden Kamuy 🙏🔥
Edit: nevermind had to dig through collections to find it, but it doesn't show up if searched for. Just a note, not sure if intentional but the uncut version of this never made it to Patreon.
Yeah, the last opening that came out (S5) especially was released online VERY late offical because of the late release of the band-album. And it was never on an offical youtube. Seemed to be in many OP reactions a problem i feel. But thanks so much for your efforts to bring it in anyway.
This show isn't about vampires lol, it does however have a vampire based character though. The show is about an armed detective agency who protects their city against superpowered threats. Also pretty much all the names of characters and abilities are named and based off real japanese authors. It's a really good show, highly recommend.
As I understand it, 'bungo' means culture or literature. The characters are all named after classic authors (the characters have no awareness of this), and their powers are based on things that the authors have written. It is fantastic. spoiler note (there are vampires (eventually) but they aren't the focus at all)
y'all SHOULD react to bungou stray dogs ending‼‼ all of them are masterpiece. actually the ending is way more popular In Summer 2023 anime awards, bsd s5 ED "Kiseki by Luck Life" just winning the best ending!! and their OP is 2nd place in the best OP
Whats interesting about GRANRODEO (Who did opening 1, 3, and 5), the singer of the band also works as a voice actor. His name is Taniyama Kisho I think his most popular role is Jean from Attack on Titan and Chuuya from Bungo Stray Dogs
Bungo = Literary, as the show is made to follow characters with powers (sort of) that share the names of popular authors and poets from around the world basically and their powers are named after a famous work or poet of them (even some of their characteristics too). Highly recommend that you check it out. it's 'seinen' not 'shonen' although it has a bit of a shonen tone mixed in the first season or so. ops 1,3&5 and the movie are by Granrodeo. their main vocal is a the VA of Jean from AOT and voices an important role in Bungo too. ops 2&4 are by SCREEN mode whose main vocal is also a known VA and is a part of the cast too. 😊
We need more people to watch BSD! S4 and S5 came out last year and it's one of the best anime of 2023. Seriously underrated (at least in the west). There are different organizations composed of people with supernatural abilities, and they fight or help or kill each other, their dynamic is amazing. This is a seinen show so there are lots of deep character developments, deep dialogues and heavy plots and twists but I assure you lots of hype moments too! And there are vampires, oh yes... 'Bungou' means literary since characters and powers are based off classical authors all over the world, and 'stray dogs' have a deep meaning in the show, regarding the characters. You will know once you get to know them and watch. :)
GRANRODEO is truly a band of all time, they did a lot for Bungo Stray Dogs, and their lead singer, Taniyama Kishou, actually voices a character in the show from 2016 till current days, just so good in general (and it's not about vampires lmao)
The anime is written often in 2 different ways because you can spell the japanese "BungŌ" in english as Bungo or Bungou. But the most common and more accurate writing is Bungou like you did. To your vampire question: Vampires DO appear, but just very very very late in the seasons ;) Before you have superpowers like in My Hero Academia or a Weretiger. It's a supernatural/crime/action show. And the second opening is actually just the first of 2 openings for the season, that was not the "main" one. Season 2-4 have each 2 different.
also, the first of these openings reminded me heavily of D. Gray Man's first opening, and that was from like 2006... so I totally get the older anime vibe.
huge recommendation for anime openings to check out: Golden Kamuy and Dorohedoro! Golden Kamuy has 4 openings and 4 endings, and Dorohedoro has 1 opening and 6 endings... I recommend all of them at some point.
Day 27 of recommending the opening and ending of "Spare Me Great Lord". It's a chinese anime, so slightly different to the stuff you've reacted to so far, but it's got some of the vibest music and animation I've ever seen.
Bungo has an elongated o at the end in Japanese. So you extend the o slightly to sound more like ou, hence Bungou. They just shorten it for readability like with shounen and shonen
Grandrodeo singer is also a voice actor and he actually voice 1 character in this anime! I like the Ops but absolutely love the endings, in my opinion, they are better, you could give them a chance too.
I'm still found it kinda funny how the 4th op is the most light-sounded and it makes us feel like this season is gonna be the happiest... HAHAHA. WRONG.
Setsuna no Ai is the best OP in all five seasons! You guys need to check out the EDs as well. They have a slower vibe usually but still deserve love. Oh and S4 even with the happy vibe, don't trust that shit for a moment! 😫 Bungou (Boongo) Stray Dogs is one of the best underrated anime ever with a stellar seiyuu, voice actor, cast that has pretty much everyone in it at some point old school and the newer gen. I'm sure someone mentioned what the anime is about and how the title in explained so here is a fun fact. Other than the first season, the first three ep of each season is a flash back that relates to the rest of the season but because of this we don't get a proper OP or ED till it is over or we get an alternate OP.😎
Could you also introduce Solo Leveling ED's"request"? It's sung by a Japanese artist called "krage" The English translation of the artist's name is jellyfish. Please give it a listen!
Bungo means Literature in Japanese and the main characters are named after authors, and their powers after a major work of theirs. Stray dogs is a reference you'll have to watch to get :P There are vampires in Season 5. Bram Stoker is an author remember ;)
