This entire movie is an intentional and direct parallel to the levels of hell depicted in Dante’s Inferno. So nice catch on the reference!

You know they actually filmed in the real Catacombs of Paris? It was hard, as there really is no cell service or electricity, they had to use the enviroment around them, as there was very little use of props. Ben Feldman who plays George has Claustrophobia, so he had to keep taking breaks, bless him!

One of my favorites, the girl from the club who stares the camera down, is also the leader of the cult choir, and the one who pushes the guy to his death during the descent- they said it’s Marie Antoinette possibly because it has the year she died etched in the wall right before she appears. The dark robed figure was satan sitting on the throne of hell- This movie has so many conspiracy theory meanings, and it’s why I love it

24:07 she does actually say "As Above So Below" in this scene, you must have missed it. When she approaches the painting she says "this is 'As Above, So Below" before she explains what that phrase means :) This is one of my favorite movies I'm so glad you guys watched it!!!

Yes the Emerald Tablet. They really described it well but most people aren't familiar with this stuff so it went over their heads. Even in Christian prayer is a reference to this "As in heaven, So on earth".

The actor you recognized is from the TV series Superstore. And, the ending...many people who watched this believe that they didn't escape. They are in some kind of weird, upside-down, alternate version of Paris/Hell.

This movie is such a hidden treasure. It’s one of my favorite found footage movies. Plus the Paris catacombs are actual human remains. I’m glad that people are starting to discover this movie. I watched this in the theater when it came out and I felt this wave of adrenaline by the time it was over. The sound effects are insane. Absolutely love this movie 🥳☠️

Wow, I could never do it in a theater. I first saw it last year and could barely handle the adrenalin and the anxiety. I had to pause and walk away a few times 😅 Benji getting almost stuck stressed me out for the whole movie 😢 I have seen it two more times in the next day. I would say it is one of my fave horror movies 😊

Yeah it’s not super played out…I only know of one other one called Catacombs from 2007 and it has the singer Pink in it. Not as good as this one though.

What I really disliked is that the main character showed no remorse for bringing everyone down there to their deaths. She got what she wanted and just went about her day.

I feel like she was just too overwhelmed in the moment, first trying to get out, and then just horror stricken and traumatized once they were actually out of hell.

Cult Classic for sure right here. It has lots of charm despite the low-budgety feel of found footage camerawork. I’ve always loved movies like this about exploring remote or hidden locations with scary outcomes. I’m too much of a wimpy man to go into caves or outdoor adventures myself, so I lay in bed and safely watch others do it x)

hey guys, if you like the whole mythical concept you should also watch Triangle (by christopher smith), it has that element but it not too in your face and after that you would definitely want to watch the explanations about it cause that is literally what happened to me after watching it at 3 at night 😅🤣

Love this movie. The second half was a bit... thrown together somewhat, after she discovered what she truly was, but the whole concept and the visuals and sounds were fantastic. It's not perfect, but it's enjoyable!

This movie is so scurry. Super underrated. The sound design is insane! P.S. I love love love this channel! You two are so cute! Some other shows I think you’d dig: 1.)True Blood it’s got the perfect amount of camp but it also is quite serious enough as well. 2.)AMERICAN HORROR STORY COVEN!!! Especially if you loved Emma Robers in Scream Queens. 3.) Walking Dead the first several seasons are great. 4.) Stranger Things IS SO INCREDIBLE! Love love love that show! But that’s if you haven’t seen them that is.

hi 😇 this is my first time commenting but i’ve been subbed for a little while, love your guys reactions. you guys may have said it in the video or someone else may have already commented it.. but! in case neither have happened - fun fact! this movie was filmed mostly in the ACTUAL paris catacombs, only few scenes were done in separate quarries (like the car on fire scene) …. sooo they actually went down there oof 💀 i visited the paris catacombs in 2018 (after had seeing this movie), and i was honestly terrified… the parts that aren’t he main tour parts… ARE VERY DARK 😳

And so it turns out, that the REAL philosopher's stone was the friends we made along the way.... Also, I think Dante's inferno could definitely be sourced as Christian mythology. No more real than anything else in the religion.

I’m not claustrophobic, but when I watched Buried starring Ryan Reynolds, it felt so suffocating, I had to pause the movie to feel like I’m actually breathing. I don’t think it classifies as horror but maybe you guys would be interested in it!
