The hate comes from getting a canteen fresh from CIF and smelling the black mold and dip spit.

There's nothing quite like smelling old longhorn dip spit that has crusted into the bottom of some canteen. We stopped selling Used canteens because there were one to many times during the smell check we found it there still.

The flexibility is great, a little squeeze and no noise comes from a partially filled canteen. You can only move fast or quiet with a half full quart canteen because of the sloshing noise the canteen will make. The fat rat is strong enough you don't need the cover, just D-ring to the Ruck and drive on.

yes, all our new condition canteens are BPA free.

Hi. From what kind of material are those canteens made? I had one years ago, the water tasted terrible and had a chemical smell. I think it was a knock off. The size of the canteen would be perfect for me and my dog.

I see in your other comment you said you don't sell used canteens anymore so obviously these are new. But was wondering are these newly manufactured? I recently bought one and it's my favorite water bottle now however even though it was new it's dated 2001, so I was wondering if the ones you sell are newer.

I'll have to dig into exact manufacture dates, but from conversations we've had with the manufacturers I can pretty confidently say any canteens, 1 Quart or 2 Quart, we've got are within 6 months of made. There was a plastic shortage last year and they essentially ran out and have been making them non stop since then.
