As Good As New, Kinda... || Fix Your 3D Targets 

I used liquid nails to glue my deer back together was busted just like your elk. Used ratchet straps to hold tension overnight. Used some dowels for added strength.Replaced the core new and done. I’ve used clear silicone caulk on different targets. It works better? than liquid nails if an arrow hits it. 👍👍

I bought a gallon of acrylic paint light brown and put two coats on several old animal targets with new cores. This was to help eliminate color zones . For hunting practice I try to shoot kill zone hits rather than be distracted by a colored new insert or score rings. After all, many animals have no score rings lol.

I love to see people fixing up their targets because it helps when I reorder new ones that they will be in stock.

I gotta fix my Delta McKenzie deer shot to hell like your elk I’m going to try your idea with the dowels but I’m going to buy some of that 2 part foam for 3D targets and try that My deer doesn’t have a replaceable core sadly

You need acrylic paint normal spray paint will eat the foam
