Ok so the middle legend in the three etched foils, aka the guaranteed Mythic, are all reprints of in demand commanders from the commander pre-con decks from throughout the years. The other two cards in that set of three etched foils, the Uncommon and the Rare/Mythic are *new* commanders from the set. For example Thrasios is a card from Commander 2016 and is one of the best generals in the format, and has been highly in demand as a 50-100 dollar card, being an infinite mana outlet in the command zone in simic colours. Since you seem to get one in every pack, it is unsure how this surge of supply of etched versions of them is going to affect their prices, and the new commanders in those slots are as yet unproven, but do feature characters from throughout magic who might not have had cards before. Hope that helps.

@@seeweda its not trolling, he is trying to make the videos more entertaining by doing reactions. Reaction videos have always been popular. Creator reviews content and decides its worthy of a video and then film themselves reacting to it as if it's the first time they ever seen it. Rudy is just not very good at it.

@@Dolfski Breakdown from WOTC article of slots in collector's pack. By my count, only 4 slots that you could pull Lotus from, and its big pool of rares/mythics in this set. Factor in lower box cost and higher number of packs per box, and it could very well be better odds in draft box 2 extended-art cards (1 C/U and 1 R/M) 1 foil-etched showcase legendary mythic 1 foil-etched showcase legendary R/M or foil borderless planeswalker 1 foil-etched showcase legendary uncommon or foil-etched showcase Prismatic Piper 1 foil rare or mythic rare (30% chance of extended-art foil) 2 foil legendary U/R/M 2 foil uncommons (each with a 20% chance of being upgraded to a foil extended-art common or uncommon) 5 foil commons 1 foil token

With the 3 etched foils, the middle one is a reprint of popular commanders of the past including the entire group of original partner commanders from c16. the other 2 are new legendary creatures created for commander legends.

That first box was amazing. Top 5 to 6 $$$ mythics are short printed to hell in this set, so getting 2x scrolls, a vampiric, and best rares is 💯. Also I'm curious if that last etched slot can be any rare/mythic from the set. If so, get any of those top $$$ mystics, and you've hit the lottery. The first 2 etched shots are going to tank in value though with how repetitive the cards are. Reminds me of the Theros collectors with the gods being drawn out with stars.

We as mtg consumers have to start taking notice of the extremely high prices wotc is asking for these products and what we are eventually getting.... the prices are not holding out. We are getting financially ruined by these new products, our value is tanking and yet wotc is still charging enormous prices for these products.

This set has so many hits that basically at this point you can't go wrong it isn't just Lotus or Drain or Bust, each one of those mythic reprint partner cards averages 40-50 dollars normally due to lack of supply, that's easy money right there alone.

Anyone know how the foiling of the etched cards looks in person? The normal cards have gone back to the overly-glossy and dull foiling from 2020 to Theros and I thought it was fixed with Ikoria, but looks like it's back for this set.

Don’t know if you will see this Rudy but please not that the 3 eched cards in the back are always legendary creatures that people can use as commanders. So that mythic will never be a lotus, you would have to get it the the same slot you got the vamp tutor.

I don't think you can pull the lotus or is vary rare in the collector box because the mythics are in the etched slot for the most part and they are legendary commanders from what i'm seeing

it seems like the etched foils are guaranteed a old commander (from commander sets) and 2 other legendary, maybe 1 is guaranteed to be a uncommon and the other can be rare or mythic
