@@sp0ngeb00b7 not really. playing a game like tlou2 or tlou part 1 the character would have a insane amount of skill bc youre making the choices, you can die, survive, etc. but in series form its better for them and their skills to be realistic, a teen and a middle aged man arent going to be insanely good at combat

@@h.f6364 Ellie wasn’t a combat god in the game, she was mostly an NPC and so barely fought, and neither was Joel or anyone they came across, they were just fighting for their lives. I don’t think the games were particularly unrealistic apart from some portions were the amount of infected was just inescapable, for example, the highschool or the last combat portion of the game in the tunnel before Ellie reaches Marlene. But a middle aged man could absolutely use a gun to the proficiency of Joel and trump other men in hand to hand combat, I’m not sure how that’s so wildly unbelievable? In fact it’s unbelievable to me how it’s implied 56 year old Joel managed even the watered down version of events on the show

Her size would have probably placed her as a "double rat" in a military setting, aka double rations given to an underweight person to gain weight to conform with regulations. With twice as much food, you have to eat twice as fast cause you still have to be done with everyone else. That and your point, especially if the "fat-bodies" (What those who are on restricted rations are called in boot camp) could steal your food cause they are on half or selected (tasteless) rations.
