@@zackomiecinski9275 yes, however mostly the sirens needed to go. I don't think a country emergency management would replace a perfectly working siren + you said that 2001s suck. Which they don't
@@triclamite No 2001-130's are cheaply made, but Federal is seeing their problems and making changes. In my opinion anything other than a 130 is good. The older DC's are usually the best.
Not only are they big, they are loud, especially when one is only 150 feet from the house. And i can hear it loud and clear from inside my house on test day, without my hearing aids.
@Nercy Espiritu yes, indeed! Them thar 'naders just dont care what they destroy 😔❗Ive always wanted to stand in one to see whats inside that spinning funnel...............
This is why Federal can make a infanate amount of 2001-130s because stuff like this will eventually happen has Dallas used Concrete Poles on all thier 2001-130s Steel Poles are alot better as Concrete Poles are subject to the stresses of heat humidity cold and ice
You mean Federal Signal 2001-130, because that’s the name of the siren and you can’t put that back up after being beat up like that. It’s either gotta be replaced or invest in a different siren.
I don't agree with removing sirens, they for one are cooler then phones and stuff Not everyone has a phone, Not everyone is always on their phone and yk But there is room for radios, sirens and phone alerts
They were in the era of Civil Defense but many were removed because the requirement for duel tone sirens ended when the program ended in 1978 also parts are not available for the few that remain active
