We just want to give the folk an option that is grounded in family and kindred that is not creepy cosplay. Nothing wrong with that for the people that are into it but it's good to have choice for the people that aren't.
@@northwoodskindred Will do! My oldest son is a Marine and stationed in NC. He has been meeting more and more people who are interested in Asatru. People are awaking and seeking the old ways. If we can keep politics both left and right out of things along with egos. LARPING and Cosplay is not what we were chosen for.

Round two would be a good time for affirmations. i like them for prayer instead of begging or beseeching God. If you are seeking something from Thor, maybe protection, tell him in an affirmation what you are planning to do about the situation and ask for guidance and the strength to achieve the objective.
This may be an older picture me of your videos, however I find myself coming back to it. I’m my kindred, the Odin’s Wolves Kindred, we haven’t had much opportunity to practice a sumbel, but it’s something we want to try and start incorporating. It’s just kind of difficult because a couple of our kinsmen live out of state. They live in NC and we’re based in KY primarily. But when they come by (about once or twice a year, depending on what their work allows), we plan to open with a blöt followed by a sumbel, to give us an idea of what each person has accomplished, what their future goals are, what we need help with, and what we plan to achieve. Overall, as a new/learning Göthi myself, your videos are really inspiring and have helped teach me how to perform even basic ceremonies/rituals, and I think helped truly set me out on my path. So I’m grateful for that. Thank you for everything you’re doing Göthi Bödvarr, and I’m looking forward to more videos like this as well as your podcast videos!
I love to hear that what we do is helping, thank you. Sumble is a powerful ritual and one that may be enjoyed with other faiths. While not entirely historic, it holds much value for us.
@@northwoodskindred I believe it would hold a great value for my kindred as well as other kindreds out there. I definitely think the “Viking Group Therapy” is accurate for this ritual, after watching your videos and reading on my own to see what all is involved in a Sumbel. Nonetheless I’m excited to reach out to other people and other sources to continue learning about our faith/rituals, etc…
What we do, and what my family has always done is be open to inviting and having mixed faiths at our gatherings rather it be Sumble or Blot, but we do not allow anyone with another faith/belief in another god actually participate in the event. We personally feel it takes away the prestige, value, and honor from our gods. One could raise their horn or cup, and enjoy the gathering, but not be part of our ritual. Just our way of, and how we practice down here in Texas.
We don't think it disrespectful to share our way with those that are willing to learn. I do understand your point of view, it is valid and shared by many of our way. We, however, do have kinsmen with mixed faith relationships and we feel that it helps if we are all open and inclusive to the "non heathen" counterparts. After all we are still celebrating family and kinship before our gods. Also who is to say the creator of all doesent have the power to reach all of us in the way that suits each of us best. Perhaps we are all correct, for our current station in life.
Another amazing video ty! The last round I can't pounce but i know them as the fey lol. I've had soo many things taken played with ect ect. At first I never wanted anything to do with them lol. Now I'm starting to second guess it and after this I will definitely be saying ty. Instead of wondering around my house grumbling at them lol. And yes I believe mix beliefs in this is absolutely amazing. As right now I'm in wicca/witch for past few years, but with an open mind that there is more to learn more to do till I find what I need. Your videos have been an absolute blessing and very helpful. So for that I say ty! Side note question? Have you ever had anyone that was one religion convert or one that was more than one belief?
I dont know what you mean by " have I ever had anyone" I don't know of anyone who has done that but that that means very little in the grand scheme of things.
when wanting to ask the guardians for protecting the area with a Shield Wall, is it okay to ask for that on your home? or do you only ask for that during rituals and gatherings for short durations?
