ASHANTI CULTURE: Ancestral Dancing and Drumming at MANHYIA PALACE 

As a Jamaican I can see a lot of the dance moves in Ashanti traditional dance in Jamaican old school dances and even in old school hip hop. Funny thing, there’s a bit of a legend that many Jamaicans are Kromantee which apparently were a twi/ akan speaking ppl from Ghana. I love to see this. I remember talking about something similar with my mother and she said her grandmother look like Ghanaian women and when my mom saw how Ghanaians cook she saw that the way how we (Jamaicans) cook is very similar to how Ghanaians cook. This is so beautiful.
