Yea, I "hate"the ending was so unexpected, and the boss was so mtfk hard in normal mode too... EDIT: but the good thing is when you win it,is like: OMG FINALLY.... WOW...

I literally shouted "F*CK YOU BITCH!" on my monitor after killing 2nd form after x tries. Even then, I felt that my win was just dumb luck :'D.

I gave up. First time I've ever abandoned an attempt at getting all achievements. I beat the game 1.95 times and it's staying that way. Even the spear cheese is too much for me.

Good stuff, struggling with COS mode myself right now in the palace getting owned by the ninja's. Was wondering what type of combos do you tend to use and what armor set? looks like its the starting armor. Tried a few sets but the stamina drain is real and no matter what seems like I get one hit by damn near everything.Any help or tips would be appreciated.

The witch armor set is good for stamina but lacks a lot in armor

What beautiful moves you have there mate! seeing this makes me feel like it's actually possible to beat sissna since i hit the wall fighting her, in normal mode i can't even get her to 30% of her phase two's health. and your weapon seems like dealing a lot of damage on her, while mine (ash infused + 7 praetorian axe) doesn't deal that much. is it because of the cos mode that some particular weapons somehow increases the maxed damage or am i not git gud enough? and i'm playing it on pc with keyboard is it affecting my flow? i'm not much of a souls vet and some guidance on beating sissna's phase two is very appreciated. thanks!

Nawwaf Husein I know I‘m pretty late here buddy, but maybe this will help someone else: His damage output is so high, cause of the talisman he is using. You can see, that his health is always really low, that’s because there is a talisman, that will increase your damage when you’re on low health. Also he has the Ukkoto mask with the balls, also more damage. And I‘m pretty sure he has some more damage increasing talisman equipped like +10% dmg and stuff.

Is that the cleaving axe? Looks like the charged r2 is horizontal instead of vertical. The vertical charged r2 is the only reason I’ve avoided it

Why do you use the cleaving axe? Is it the best weapon overall in your opinion? Also what about armor and relics, which ones would you recommend? Sorry for the questions, I'm struggling in some parts of this game, could use some help hahahha

At the time it seemed to the best dps wise weapon, relic is Ukkoto's Guile, talismans are Swift, Greater Constitution, Second Wind, Last Stand.

Playing through this on PS4 and it absolutely will not let you lock onto Ukkoto with no lantern equipped.

You aren't supposed to see that boss, you play it in the dark. You should always use a 2H anyways.

@@ClothedItalyPig That's not true at all. The fight was intended to be done with a lantern. The boss slowly loses it dark cloak the longer it stays in lantern light, so after enough time the boss turns white and is easily visible. When he hides in a cubby to heal, you're meant to shine light to make the cubby explode. You don't play it in the dark, the guy in this video was just good enough to fight without a lantern and save time.

Dan I don't think he's locking on he's just running around in the dark and when the little light on ukkuto gets bigger for a moment, that's the tell that ukkoto is charging and you need to dodge. With the wide swings of a two handed weapon I dont think hitting ukkoto whilst not locked on Will be too much of an issue.

@@johngleue I figured it out a little while after posting this. For some reason in Ashen if you lock onto an enemy and then try to run, it removes the lock. This is what I was doing, trying to run towards him after locking on and it was getting removed by the game. Locking on and walking towards him works as long as he's out and not in a hidey-hole.

It's a shame, I got Sissna in this mode but I could'nt defeat her, with keyboard and mouse it's very difficult to dodge the spider... I don't understand why it does not hurt you when you hit it

13:02 I don't like this boss fight at all. It's a pure exercise in persistence. It's a long, tedious fight and she has a tendency to one-shot. What was your relic setup? I assume robust and one for damage on low health. What else, bonus damage on companion death? And?

Sissna boss was the weirdest sometimes just walked for a while without attacking,then it did, but took a while, don't know if that's normal ,seems like it,anyways thank you. Yes there was actually if you talk to certain villagers they will give you dialog about how they don't trust silaren and they think she's hidding something

All along you were bringing her Sissna's items. And she talks about how the dark is good and how the light is ruining things and whatnot. And I'm sure there is more, but I didn't pay that much attention to the plot.

Nah, the items are well explained. And the distrust is only initial from what I've seen, for example Amara initially dislikes how Silaren is all about the dark but then realises that both can coexist and that darkness isn't inherently evil. No foreshadowing at all tbh

dayum. i see what you did there... you prioritized distancing yourself from them and then, after luring out their "ranged" attack, farming their momentary vulnerability window 2 hits at a time. i literally bumbled through this game.... mostly because my Jokell was "trigger-happy". i now see that it probably woulda been easier to fight without his dead weight...

I just did Amiren on Children of Sissna. No Spears, Blocking, Consumables. It would have been No Damage, too, but he beaned me with the lantern. lol I didn't even know that was possible. Very easy fight though. Like the rest of the game this is a massive rip off of Dark Souls. This is the Vendrick fight.
