@@Anemion I've just finished the game in CoS mode, beating Sissna and Ryak without co-op or AI campagnon. Big thanks to you ! This game is amazing, and your run is even more ! It's a shame that Ashen didn't really get the attention it deserve mostly because of Epic Games store exclusivity for 2 years IMO.
How are you avoiding all strikes from Shadow of Ashen? I'm doing almost the same moves like you and always get hit... I'm playing on xbox. Please how to learn dashing and avoiding in this fight. I spent days with this fight. Thank you.
The difference must be doing almost but not exactly the same moves. The thing is, this is a speedrun so my strats are made to be fast but it doesn't mean they are safe (spoiler: they're not). Some of the dodges - for his double strike especially - need to be timed precisely as well as in the correct direction. Depending on what difficulty you're on, you're not forced to defeat him without getting hit at all. It's also possible your equipment could be upgraded more or some talismans could be changed, etc. Since you're on xbox playing with random strangers is also a possibility. As for general tips for him, try to play safer than usual in the first phase and more aggressive in the second. Try to stay close to him but not too close either; If there is only one attack you must pay attention for it's his "slash with his right polearm followed by a double thrust". This attack is deadly at a distance but will completely miss if you walk around him leaving him vulnerable for a long time. He will start doing this when he is below 60% hp.
