God in the Old Testament shows us violent acts that can’t be explained away in any way. There are some Christian explanations, but it doesn’t make any kind of moral sense. The same God is doing the same thing in the Book of Revelation. God loves those who accept him, but he also looks down on those who don’t. There are lots of different verses in the book of revelation about violent punishment for the non believers.
