That was one of the best rumba ever on strictly I mean the spins, the fluidity, the expression, the lines wow that was amazing (she's definatly one of the best strictly dancers ever *9/10*
Pasha is by far the best male professional dancer of the show, no doubt about it. I'm glad he was matched with such a good partner. I love every dance that both make, week after week. My absolute faves.
honestly its useless to keep complaining about her dance experience - because there's ALWAYS going to be ringers on strictly, and it gives an extra challenge to the other dancers! for me i'm just glad pasha's getting the recognition he deserves this year and gets a chance to shine again like in 2014!
Caitlin Brennan sorry but dancing on ice doesn’t count as it has absolutely nothing to do with dancing. And Kimberly Wyatt was the dancing judge from the PCD not Ashley
Probably the best rumba I've ever seen on the show. She was able to do things anyone had done before. Those spinnings following the sliding doors were superb!
You nailed it again Ashley Rumba isn't my favourite dance, but this is probably the best one I can remember any female celebrity doing. These two are one of my favourite couples.
Ashley’s is beautiful but have you seen Kara and Rachel’s? Those two even had less dance experience than Ashley but they nailed it, I think they both got 39’s.
So beyond ridiculous. My goodness, this couple is FIRE. I'm guessing Pasha was gunning for those extra brownie points with those nods to Shirley's moves! Such a shame we can't see the critiques and scores as well.
Every pre-dance training video...." I can't get it ".." I'm not sure it'll be good enough " " It's so difficult " come on who are you kidding... It's like saying you've never held a gun, and then firing off 6 bulls eyes...
usually I find rumba awkward and boring to watch, but I loved this! she obviously has natural talent, but *no* previous latin or ballroom training, only modern dance which is completely different. I really hope she gets a fair chance from the public because she’s obviously working so hard
There was so much passion in this! So much emotion. She's such a good performer, her acting has been pretty spot on every week, and this didn't disappoint. Apart from that lil bit where her foot went off the ground, this was practically perfect in my eyes! The chemistry! The romance! The stylisation!😍
@@annec42 Yep! She's my fave but I'm not gonna not point out the fact her foot lifted...I think it happened in the tango too, so I'm assuming that they've been told not to point out accidental lifts unless they're really obvious😂
It was the split leg slide that did it for me, you've got to trust your core strength as well as the ability of your partner to pull something like that off
@@RunnerEye it could be, though usually when they have good dancers they fawn over them every time they do a good dance...perhaps because she's not as technically good as she could be? Idk
Ashley you are on fire you did amazing in the rumba and it was beautiful and complicated and you deserved those scores .Ashley you deserve to be in the final and win !You take every challenge and conquer it !!
All I can say is the reach and stretch in her développés were palpable. I could feel it down to my little toes and pinky fingers! I love to see beautiful lines fully extended and then a little bit more! I have high hopes for Ashley and Pasha taking the mirror ball, even though I'm emotionally attached to one of her competitors! Well done, Ashley and Pasha!
People who say she has an unfair advantage are wrong. She gets judged on a completely different level than the other contestants, maybe apart from Faye and Danny who are equally as good. What the judges are looking for is improvement. Do you actually think she doesn't have to work as hard as everyone else to produce that in less than a week? At the end of the day, it's the public that decide who stays and who goes. I for one love watching Ashley dance and couldn't care less that she's been trained in jazz and step or whatever. This dance was amazing and I can't wait for the next one 💙
They always do this with pop stars though, the haters. Alexandra Burke really got it hard last year, people saying she was a pop star so she knew choreography too well. A few on stage moves maybe, not ballroom you idiots. And then when they dug into her after her mum died saying she was using it to get more publicity, I'm like 'are you actually out of your f****** minds!'
@@edwardharriss1463 Yes, exactly. There are people that have some dance experience every year, it doesn't mean they have an advantage. Maybe they even have a disadvantage because they get so much hate from everyone.
How can she be judged on another level? She will always be getting high marks regardless... she has been a performer her whole laugh learning routines dancing.. I don’t think it’s hard to learn new dances.. the professional dancers do it all the time and she is within that category
@@robs8021 I meant that they're really hard on her because they know she's good. It's extremely hard to learn a different style of dance than what you're used to.
I think if you’re a dancer... you can dance. That’s why all the professionals dancers do all types. She has the background and knowledge to learn new dances and quickly.. she has the fitness and skill. How harsh can they be on her really.. she’s great! She makes hardly any mistakes. I do think she is more suited as. A judge tho
“An Elton John song” - was the title too long for the youtube people at strictly to upload 😂😂 edit; so I take it they changed the title of the video finally
The good ones hardly win, British public love the underdog, they love the “journey” unfortunately Ashley doesn’t have much of a journey because we now expect her to be good weekly. Alexandra Burke and Danny Mac were consistently good and they didn’t win.
Hate the music choice, a little too cheesy for a Rumba, but it’s probably just me. She did that wonderful Shirley spin very cleanly (which clearly showed that she’s an established dancer to spot like this!) and her straight legs and hip rotations was like cha-cha walk in slow-mo. I like the tension created between the two, and compared with Faye’s Rumba attempt, this is better. 8.5
William, I didn't know there's box steps in Rumba (normally it is done in waltz), but Ashley did a slightly more advanced version of the sliding doors here...
I really loved this rumba. If you've got a ringer, ring those bells, and that's exactly what Pasha did! Those turns could only have been done by a pro (perhaps a sly dig by Shirley?), but it was all beautiful to look at. I love good dance and I'm very happy to watch her all the way to the final. She won't win, and in the meantime I can have the pleasure of watching her. 9 for me.
Beautiful technically, perhaps less solid in terms of an emotional punch. Still waiting on my dream of the Rumba, broken by a perfect 40. I such high hopes for Ashley delivering that dream.
It was lacking brushing of the feet here and there as well as really settling into the hips, but that aside - this rumba was fantastic. Amazing song choice, full of passion, great musicality, really fantastic lines and extensions and fabulous sequence of spins at the end. At times she looked liked a professional Ballroom& Latin-American dancer, BUT at times she had some mistakes regarding her footwork. An 8.
our scores: me: 10 diya: 9 kelsey: 10 owen: 10 39/40 (highest of the week) had this been any later week it would’ve gotten 10s, this was so much better than i remembered. one of the best rumbas ever.
Watching Ashley dance is like watching a professional dance, oh wait. I’ve completely written her off, it’s not a competition for her. she’s an amazing dancer though
Every pre-dance training video...." I can't get it ".." I'm not sure it'll be good enough " " It's so difficult " come on who are you kidding... It's like saying you've never held a gun, and then firing off 6 bulls eyes...
