@@KnicKnac oh I would. I already do that with my shadowrun hacker. One for when hacking, one when not. Or my wildshaping druid. I'm in to many games probably
I haven't been in a party with whom I could use a changeling effectively yet, sadly 😭 I'm currently playing a detective who has a detective identity and a criminal identity, hoping it's gonna make a difference this time (And hoping I can have fun with the shapeshifting once I don't have to worry about being discovered!)
@@terry3906 in the streamed game, la by night Taliesin Jaffe(Carver ) played the sire, (the person that turns you into a vampire or kindred as they call them)of a character that Erika iishi (Annabelle) played which against that character's wishes, the sire kept calling her baby doll
Chetney can smell her, but the real best way to deal with an evil changeling, assuming you aren’t a pact of chain warlock with flock of familiars, is to kill them while you can. They wasted their opportunity out of pity.
@@VivaLaDnDLogs I shouldn't be the one teaching you these things, this task should fall on your parents. But since I'm a patient man, I will. *It depends on what you mean.* When I said I hope she doesn't return to the show, because all of those "I'll attack her - no, wait, are you sure you don't want to hear even more of my character's background before you start playing again" moments were abysmal, both for D&D playing skills and narratively speaking... it's not mean, *it's a perfectly valid opinion,* and you should learn to respect other people's opinions. 🙂 If you say you hope I don't return to the show... it's not mean either, it's just *extremely f'ing stupid,* since I've never been on the show. 🤣 If, however, unlike me, you're implying that you hope I don't return... anywhere, because you're wishing me harm or death... well, no, you're not being mean, you're being *a horrible piece of shit.* 😑 Glad I could clarify that for you. Now please do some soul searching and stop being an ass. 😉👍
I really liked this moment. Before, we'd only seen Ashton protective of FCG, but in this fight, he seemed pissed off at Birdie AND Yu's manipulations, and tolerated none of it.
The group have been together for almost as long as Ashton knew FCG for at the start of the campaign, and honestly it's been real nice seeing them open up more and show a little bit of a softer side
Ashton seems to have a real soft spot for Laudna too, especially in the Bassuras arc. For someone who projects so much IDGAF he's actually very protective.
@@sandpiperr as someone who is a bit like Ashton, I am the same way. People who have been through some shit... we don't have many friends. We don't trust easily and it leaves our circle small. But those that are in our circle we will do anything for them. And I mean anything.
@@XReyProductions Nothin' like a hater:) Thankfully, the experienced professionals who put on these productions don't seem to think so, which is satisfying.
Imagine one day a character gets isolated and knocked unconscious just before the cut to break. Then after Erika's just sitting in that players spot, playing that character and not a single person at the table acknowledges it
I kind of think Liam does not care for this actress in real life. They were in a thing together years ago and she improvise kissed him and he was clearly not into it or ok with it.
If erika doesnt come back at some point as a guest and plays.... just another character... a nice wizard guy or something.... just.... you know.... as a guest ..... without any intentions....
How much meta mind screwing, would it be, if she comes back, even as a past npc, and the crew has to ask "Wait, is that Stab Mc Daggerson? Or is it her changed as Stab Mc Daggerson, or did Matt bring her here to make us think its not, but it is, and yet....."
@@Sandata64RD Orym: Hey! Yu! Stab McDaggerson: Yes? Ashton: I %$*#ing knew it! You're Yu! SMD: Yeah...? Chetney: I don't think so. They don't smell like Yu. SMD: No offense, but I hope not. The rock guy doesn't look like he washes his clothes. Laudna: Hold on, do you think we're saying Yu or "you?" SMD: I don't know...? Sam & Ashley: THIRD BASE!
That's not always a bad thing. Sometimes having a based, simple character is an anchor for some of the other unpredictability around them. Much like Grog in the first Campaign.
I want another character to call him out on it eventually, just for the sake of his own development. Experiencing loss doesn’t give a person some free pass to behave like a miserable prick for the rest of their life. Orym and Laudna have both literally died and had their loved ones murdered right in front of them, and you don’t hear them whining.
played a changeling like that in a low magic game where portals were allowing entry to foreign magical races and creatures from other planes into the mount and blade setting. Nearly used a gnomish quickrazor to cut a humans balls off after they spotted me.
Was so satisfying, not gonna lie. Erika’s performance was great, but the character themself was really starting to get under my skin at the end lol That whole confrontation was crazy tense
Same here. Dusk was kinda fun but messing with couples was not okay in my book. Yuu on the other hand was crazy manipulative both to the characters and the players. Fun but a little uncomfortable, even as a viewer
It's frustrating how deep I had to roll in the comments to find *this* take: someone simply saying 'this subject matter made me uncomfortable', which is perfectly fine! Fiction will do that sometimes, God knows. But hell the difficulty so many peeps seem to have disliking a character for bad behavior, but appreciating the quality of the writing and the performance.
@@RakeeshJ4 I feel you. As both a horror writer and a victim of abuse, it’s so important to be able to make ourselves able to see the value in things that make us uncomfortable. My only real critique in retrospect was how willing the main cast was to let Dusk/Yuu go despite having been much harder on NPCs who’ve done less 😅
What's really hilarious to me is in L.A. By Night, Tal plays Erika's Vampire Sire and they have almost this exact relationship, Tal done with her shit and Erika calling him "Vamp Daddy" to piss him off.
Erika was great here, but this is especially funny when you consider how close she and Taliesin are outside of the show. They live to annoy each other.
@@sakrira The sleeve slashing part. Personaly, I think it was a Zorro-like move that fell flat. It happens. Wait...do people even know what Zorro is anymore?!? Fudge I'm old...
@@davidgomes4408 Oh I forgot about that. Maybe he just wanted to remind them he's better with a sword than they are (he won when they faught with the wooden swords I believe). I'm not sure either.
@@davidgomes4408 zorro is cool. And yeah idk I thought it was gonna reveal like a mark or something on their arm but nah. It was just intimidation I guess
There are many of us who often take time to get through an entire episode of CR. Including a plot point in a title to a video when at least a week hasnt passed yet is not cool.
@matt Irwin it literally has Dusk's alternate name in the title, which is a spoiler in and of itself. And we already knew Dusk was shady from a previous episode (one on one Erika and Matt at the table scene) so yes, this is a pretty big spoiler. Edit: I should premise I'm not mad/upset at the uploader, it was a good clip and you should defs keep uploading, Maybe just be careful of the titles in future vids
After watching the recent episode, I'm starting to wonder if Dusk/Yu was actually right about Birdie and Ollie [Spoilers, you've been warned] Like who in the hell trades their own kid to a hag in the woods for a fucking favor and lets the kid go on thinking that the hag is her fucking grandmother?
They didn't trade her for a favor though, Birdie was "friends" with the hag, the are both fey creatures, and Fearne was very young. Could be wrong but her story adds up to me (PCs make weird decisions all the time for the "greater good" or to "save the world", too). I wonder about Iras intentions and allegiances though.
@@sakrira Weeell...the scene was pretty ambiguous if you ask me. At the end of it, it did feel like the take away was that Birdie and Ollie did unwittingly agree to a Hag's "special offer". At least Fearne seemed to believe so. Which, to address @Death by konami, to be fair, an Archfey-grade Hag (I mean... "spinster of fate"? Not your run of the mill Crone) should have no difficulty in suckering 2 idiots. Lovely idiots to be sure. But dummies nonetheless. Hope that helps. P.S.: fun fact, do you know how Hags reproduce? 🤔 You might want to look it up.
@@sakrira 1) Fearne's parents are not PCs, and 2.) You do realize that excusing giving a young child to a Hag for ANY reason is majorly fucked up, right?
@@davidgomes4408 sure but what is your point then, how was Yu right about Birdie and Ollie being evil if they didn't know and thought they were simply asking a good friend to watch their child who was so powerful no one would come looking there (very naive I'll agree, they should know better being fey themselves)? And what about their reproduction? Fearne is 112 and not elven like her father, besides the whole point of hag reproduction is they don't want to raise their children (no idea why she took in Fearne). Sry I really don't get you comment 🙈
@@sakrira Hmm 🤔. OK, *so* , my post had 2 main point and one lil' teasing. Point 1: adressed to you. When you argued that Birdie being friends with Mori meant that there was no "deal" but just an understanding between friends. I replied that the moment when Ollie and Birdie have a dread filled reaction to Fearne's question, going so far as asking Ira's opinion, suggests otherwise. I think a deal was made. And that they didn't even realize it. Point 2: adressed to @Death by longname. He postulates that: " parents that sell their kids for favors are evil. Ollie and Birdie did so they're evil. Hence Yu the was right". I *disagreed* with that opinion by stating that they're not evil, merely idiots that got suckered by a magical conman. Not heartless parents that sold their soul for power. Their being a threat comes from their very whimsical nature, not from their intentions. Like Yu. Like any Fey for that matter. So, in that sense, Yu was wrong. They're no more evil than Yu. Finaly, the teasing...Hags reproduce in various way. The classical, "changeling" scenario, or by making other beings evolve into new Hags. A being can be "Hagified" through many ways. But a "typical" way is that of parents giving away their child (for various reasons). Said child is then raised by the Hag. Empowered by it (fun fact: Druidic Magic and Hag magic are very similar). Until, eventually, once their magical powers mature, they transform into a new, full fledged Hag. Hope that helps.
@@nnd5768That was not implied either way. She is a person, not a 2D imaginary cartoon with no feelings. Unless you want to continue to receive a dose of your own "medicine" knock it off. Constructive criticism is fine, what you said is not.
@@supernatural492 also your intimidation tactics that reminds of a certain european leader from 1939, to say gently, are imposible to be replied to on youtube in appropriate manner, which would be definitely very unpleasant for someone of your type
Or there are some of us who just didn't vibe with her as a person, just like how literally everyone one the cast gets hate. Do you think only women hated on robbie? No because that would be foolish. This moment was funny, yes, but I for one found it to be one of the few moments I like erika as a guest
@@krisring8157 If you hate someone on the cast or guest you don't have the right attitude to follow the show. Think about your self-control issues first and then express your feeling.
That, my friend, is a hair style. Women are not the only ones that wear it that way... Its a side fade, where you keep whats on top up, and the sides of your head lowcut...
Yeah idk what it is either. There's not really anything in particular I can point to that I don't like about him (I guess I should say him in Cr idk the guy enough, or at all for that matter, to say I don't like him) but I just get annoyed at him anytime he does literally anything. Maybe it's because I subconsciously wish everyone at the table was just Sam 🤣
@@CodeeXD Um...why? You aren't at that table! Seriously, if it was a problem for the people who are at the table, it's Travis Willingham's job to handle that and make sure the boundaries are clear. Otherwise, maybe consider minding your own business?
This show is so terrible. It's not entertaining at all. Not to mention this is not how you really play DnD. This stupid show is the reason the game has been taken over by dumb casuals.
LoL, do tell. How do you really play D&D? Because there are, of course, specific, approved ways to do that...and they're determined by rando haters on the Internet.
