The best thing I have done is to keep drinking water. It seems to really help. As for medication nothing has worked so far.

Don't forget that most pharmaceuticals contain a long list of common allergens. That's your problem. (That's ALL our problem lmao) No one has ever asked medicine to stop putting allergens in allergy medications. Why is Benadryl red, when red dye is one of the most common allergens? Because no one cares about patients. That's why :) If doctors gave a sh-- about us, they would have lobbied for this to change a long, long time ago. But doctors only give a sh-- about themselves!

i live in houston tx and I developed allergies this past 2020 throughout this pandemic. i literally can't stop sneezing throughout the year. sinus headaches are debilitating. I can't get anything done, I can't drive fully conscious, I;ve tried everything, nasal sprays, benadryl (which make me fall asleep), teas, etc. the worst thing are sinus headaches for sure, I need to lay down for them to go away. I have never been like this for sure.

My relative had worse sinus & allergies because of wearing disposable masks too often and being indoors a lot. Please see a doctor and get a blood test to check for vitamin D deficiencies or other deficiencies, check for autoimmune diseases & pre-diabetes. I also would reduce eating too much processed foods, also bread, and pasta because of histamines. Drink enough water and do some daily, moderate exercises outdoors.

@@ruolov1 thank you so much! I try to eat a balanced diet and stay active and hydrated for sure. I'm currently using a humidifier with peppermint oils which is doing wonders! Still feel some congestion but I think it has not been as worse as it used to be. I still feel sinus headache stem down the right side of my neck and some congestion but not as much. I do definitely feel like staying indoors too often has really impacted my allergies and I doubt I'm the only one. I try to go out as much as possible now that I have my vaccine to get some fresh air for sure. I'll still try to visit a doctor sometime soon!

Your allergies are because of the hand sanitizer that has become commonplace. It is a common allergen. Alcohol hangs in the air and causes problems for a lot longer than other allergens.

I live in Nigeria where they do not take allergy reaction seriously and hardly have qualified doctors for it. I've had itching and swelling everyday for one year now caused by my allergy and I can't find a cure, I practically have to live on a dose of antihistamine every 3 days, to live a somewhat comfortable life without the itching. Nobody could find out the reason for my allergy triggers, and I am really tired about it
@danadelaplante6797
@danadelaplante6797 2 года назад
Not alone. The cause for me is a mystery. The itch sometimes subsides then flares up. Haven't seen a specialist because they will probably just prescribe a pill.

Allergy medications that claim to last 24 hours still peak in your bloodstream 1 hour after you take them. If you have significant allergies, you must take antihistamines much more frequently than is indicated for normal people. I take a full zyrtec and a full claritin every four hours (on top of tons of Benadryl, Vistaril, and Tagamet as needed)

Comment makes me hopeful. Just bought a package because the itch and rash around the nose is not easing up. Seems it will calm down then something triggers.

Some of it is straight up luck, i can be inside all day and get allergies, and others be outside and feel nothing.
@detectivewiggles
@detectivewiggles 2 года назад
It's not luck actually - your innate immune system responds to LITERALLY everything you encounter, consume, and even think. If you look at: humidity, temperature changes, ambient pollens, the UV index, your diet, and your menstrual cycle (if you have one) you will see it has nothing to do with luck

You need to take mast cell stabilizers. Many more inflammatory markers beyond just histamine are released in allergies. Also, medicine has only developed antihistamines that work on two of the eight different types of histamine receptors. So that's why mast cell stabilizers are essential. Quercetin is an herbal mast cell stabilizer most people tolerate well. Never start a new supplement or medication without checking with your doctor. Cromolyn is a rx-only mast cell stabilizer that most people tolerate well.

You are magnesium deficient. Start supplementing as many different forms of magnesium as you can tolerate. Your eustachian tube has mineralized because of the long-term overconsumption of calcium relative to magnesium. Synthetic D3 is another factor that worsens the mineralization of soft tissue. Avoid all fortified foods
@detectivewiggles
@detectivewiggles 2 года назад
Also applying silicone scar gel all around your ear, face, and neck twice a day will help speed up the healing of that mineralized tissue as well. Silicone scar gel is very, very gentle and most can tolerate it without trouble
