As a 29year old mother of four (all under 6) I absolutely 100% agree with Nir! My kids are my absolute joy and love! BUT you also have to raise them in a way where you want to spend time with them. 1. No iPad kids 2. Learn a notional regulation myself to teach them and work with them through their tantrums and problems 3. Respect them like tiny adults 4. Don’t get them everything you can and they want to have. Adversity in their life is good. 5. Don’t solve their problems for them, solve it with them.

Since you asked about the subject KIDS, I'll share my personal experience: I knew very early in life I didn't want to become a parent. I stuck to my guns (it wasn't easy and it cost me to lose a couple of partners) but it was one of the BEST decisions of my life. Not everybody was born to be a parent. Period. It is not selfishness. There are plenty of ways to contribute to society. Parent or not, forget the noise around, listen to your heart, be true to yourself. Happy birthday AND THANKS FOR YOUR CHANNEL, ALI!😊❤🙏🏼✨

Regarding kids, I had my daughter at 18. How's that for early? Lol! And thank God I did. Yes, circumstances were very difficult, but she is my blessing, my world, my miracle. And now my life is all the more better for having her in it. ❤😊

Hello Ali, Happy Birthday, I’m 36 now and still confused about many things. As an Asian, we might be a group of late bloomers who only realize what we want to do later in life. At least, this seems true for my generation, those born in the 80s. So, I’m taking these life advices as ‘What I can do before my 40th birthday,’ and let’s see where it leads me. Thank you, Ali.

I don't know why people wishing more kids... I have 3 elder siblings and I little one.. My age is 30...my parents ruined my life.. With wrong decision.. And so much partiality btw others siblings... So much boundaries and controlling my life.. Like a hell.. I am 30 but no marriage plan... So please parents take responsibility ..

Hi Ali and the team, French here, quick feedback regarding the French audio: it really sounds robotic and un-natural. Don't get me wrong, it's very impressive to see (hear) what can be automated and the level of quality it provides. But as a French-speaking person, it's still too robotic to enjoy watching the video like this. If I did not speak English, I would probably not watch the video at all. Honest feedback, no ill-intention in this comment. But thank you for the quality of your content, in English it's top-notch as usual! 🙂

Whenever a friend tells me that they are having a birthday, I always say that their age is the best age but the following year will be better. I liked the idea of writing a letter to myself for when I turn 50yo (in 3.5 years). When I turned 30, I wish someone had told me: 1) to start investing money 2) to believe in my crazy ideas and projects; I had great business or scientific ideas which I abandoned because other people told me that they would not work... and became big things years later (I guess you are already doing well on this side) Live long and silly!

We started having kids at 19 and now we have 6 children. No regrets, even though it wasn't the easiest being that young and starting out. Definitely agree with the advice have kids now and as many as you can!

Many More Happy Returns of theDay. Few Kids as per our money and time. Raising kids are different in different landscape. Marriage and having kids before 30 is import i think. I'm from 40, just reached this year. World is different in 40's, as i'm from private sector thinks are different now :) . Luckily i have started saving from end of 20's so i have some backup :) . i gives me lots of confidents

I'm a parent. Currently trying for more. I'm in my early 40s. I went through fertility treatments and it is a definite minset shift. You have to really be open and honest with yourself. You may find out things that you don't like or things you can do little about; some things you can. You have to really think about how you want your family to look. It may not happen the way you always imagined it happening and you have to grieve that loss, because it is a loss.

About kids.. Ali, I think a great potential podcast guest could be Merle Bombarderi, who is currently writing her third edition of The Baby Decision. The book helps people like me - who are on the fence about having a child - figure out what I’d want from like and whether a child could fit into that. It also delves into the myths of parenting and being childfree.

Congrats Ali! Geting married and having kids (which I didn't even imagine having in my 20s) was the best decision/project of my 30s, and I am pretty sure it will be the best of my life. 33 with 3 kids. We wanted a young family. Raising kids is both the hardest but most rewarding thing I've experienced. It's humbling and a strange feeling having something more important than yourself/own life. B/C it is so hard I would caution jumping into parenthood unless it's something you 100% want.

I have two and we had our first at age 35, I wish we’d started sooner so that we had longer to think about a third. Realistically, the leap from 2 to 3 is a lot (in terms of everyday logistics!), but with longer to think it would be easier! The two we have are pretty bloody brilliant, either way!

I'm 29 years old and pregnant with my first child. Emotionally speaking, I would have loved to start having kids at 25, but we decided to wait for a few practical and financial reasons; that said, of course we're still not in a *perfect* practical and financial situation, and we never will be. We decided it was good enough to go ahead, because we want kids and we want to spend as many years with them as possible! In our case, we waited to finish grad school, get jobs, and move to a city we wanted to live in; we have NOT waited for perfect, stable jobs, to have a lot of money saved up, or to own our own home. You have to decide what you're personally comfortable with, but I would encourage people to think in terms of the most achievable steps that would let them feel ready to have kids, rather than in terms of an ideal prerequisite life situation.

I don’t have any kids and turning 27 this July, however I think from my POV, the advice might work for some but not all. You need to thing about whether you’re financially capable to look after those kids and are you physically and mentally prepared to guide someone? Are you happy and are you satisfied with the things you have done and experienced? I think those questions are really important before starting a family.

Also I started weight lifting with a trainer 2 years ago, and I started like you just doing 2x a week, then 3x, then I just said fuck it let’s do 5x. When I started going every day THATS when I saw the drastic muscle gain. 3x a week wasn’t enough. I’ve steadily increased how much I can lift up and up along with my stamina. I used to not be able to do 1 pushup, and now I can do 15 with my feet in the TRX straps. I couldn’t plank for 30 seconds but now I can easily do 40 reps of scrunches where you lie flat holding a 15lb ball over your head and you bring it up to touch your feet. You have the time and money and can definitely get a six pack.
