Let me remind you that opera is not poetry reading event, it is equilibrium between music and word, and I personally really understand every single word and enjoy the interpretation. @@berzubirze No need to suggest Pushkin. Text is extremely important in Tchaikovsky.I read much of Pushkins' poetry and even learnt it by heart. As for this piece I would also recommend you to learn more interpretations to compare.
