on a serious note, he is right that pretty much no streamer will be able to make it r14, however dedicated they are. The opposite faction is just gonna grief the shit out of you, especially in wsg and AV where you can turtle games forever.
For max rank because five people if I recall ever got it in vanilla due to the way the system is designed u have to pvp more than top ranks to get to those ranks the more they pvp the bigger the gap for max rank is give it one month and top rank will be unachievable to anyone unless they are already in said rank lul it was vastly hated by players in vanilla so much that it was a priority change for burning crusade needless to say vanilla players don't look fondly on the honor system due to its fundamental design :)

@@avisionofsorrowkinda so much that pvpers gave up even trying to get it after the first few had it then it became unabtainable to anyone not in the rank meaning no it really wasn't that awe inspiring just meant they farmed like hell first few months and as long as they keep farming no one ever has the chance to take it from them so bad that many vanilla players still think rank 14 was a myth not real that's how few ppl had it and why it wasn't awe inspiring to even have because less than ten people ever ever got it but ok :)

I got rank 8 back in vanilla. My friend who got rank 14 was on and pvping every single time i logged on. He told me his cousin had his login too so they would share playing and thats how he was pvping 12hrs+ a day
Yeah. Account sharing back then was just something almost everyone did. It's how me and friends would get lile multiple lvl 60's each. As we just account share so we could all be boosting eachother 24 hours a day.
I apologize if I don't express myself well in English if i can help with some tips taht problably most of you knows i was and old school field marshal rank 13 : 1.- Engineering as profesion; because rocket boot,s nets , and stun helms are your friends 2.- you will need to play play several hours on high ranks .... 3.- swiftenest potions Carrot on a Stick(trinket) and The Nifty Stopwatch( trinket ) are your friends also . enjoy it xd and try to grab trusted players who help you on this adventure like asmongold loyal players.

I did this grind on Stormreaver on my druid back in the day, by myself, it's brutal... and yes, it's largely based on how many other people are grinding this out (at the rate that you are). The more people competing (at the same rate as you), the less likely you'll ever be in that top spot. Another thing you need to expect is that the people you're competing against for that top spot each week are likely going to have multiple people playing their account on a rotation. Friend 1 grinds AV from 9am-1pm, friend 2 jumps in and grinds from 1pm-5pm, etc.. in a 24 hour rotation, nonstop. The only way to guarantee a top spot quicky, ie server first.. is a team carry with a large rotation of people handing off their accounts to friends to get a continuous 24 hour cycle going. That or botting.. which you'll be quickly reported and banned for. The really bad news is if you have 100 people on the server running bgs on a rotation, 24/7, and you're not? Expect to grind this out every day for months. My advice? Wait for the hardcore players to fight it out for the first few months. What will be left after that are casuals not trying nearly as hard. Then you can swoop in at the right time and get a top spot. Again.. most important, it's based on who's participating and how hard they're grinding. If they're on a 24/7 grind fest, unless you're doing the same thing, and better.. you're screwed. Good luck...
Account sharing is just as illegal as botting. blizzard will ban you if you let your friends play for the honor grind. And it will be easy for blizzard to see how much a single character is online if we can already see /played ourselves, they surely have more accurate logs. The higher rank you are the more visible you will be too so the ranking itself is going to filter out the people who cheat for blizzard to notice even easier. (i wont be surprised if every rank 14 gets reported by someone jealous and then a GM checks to see if they did cheat or not. the toxism these days is that severe. :D) Any extraordinary amounts of weekly playtime will easily raise attention. Noone will be able to play and stay awake for several months straight... the world record for staying awake is something like 11 days, and its extremely unhealthy too and blizzard doesnt condone such practices, noone does for PR-sake. People have been banned for accountsharing very easily before... weve seen that over the years. Only the bigger names get news articles written about it tho, like those in the pvp scene or world first race.
waiting the first few months before ranking is not gonna work either because the number of spots that receive the top ranking points are based on a percentage of players doing pvp every week. So if there is less people ranking, you will have a lesser amount of spots that will get the highest ranking points. the fastest way to get rank 14 is to be organized with the rest of your faction and respect the bracket system, otherwise it's going to be pure chaos and a nuclear race about who can get the highest amount of honor points every week.

Pugs work, but you need to keep an eye on key players (high ranking winners) and the times they play in the bgs and try to get into those slots regularly. And yes, I'm speaking from experience.
its not to bad man, you may not hit rank 14, but on my 49 twink i was a knight captain and didnt play all that much maybe 3/4 hrs a day if that, games werent popping back to back so alot of downtime in between BGs , you could easily get rank 11/12 @ 60 just playing casual will just take time
you should just get 15 HK each week, so you climb up to sergeant before BGs. then raid the BGs. Getting rank 14 is practically impossible since you have to be top 0.02% in RP

Would appear your forgetting the rock paper scissor effect of vanilla wow. Reason your hating warrior right now is quite simple. Whats your anti class and how many of them are there on both factions, answers are mages and MOUNTAINS of them. Warlocks don't really have an anti class but are stupid strong across the board so you enjoy it more (also....fear) You get some heavy duty hp on your warrior and a beefy 2h weapon you'll go around 1 hitting low gear mages (there'll be plenty of em) or 2 hitting a good one, as long as you get the engage at start you'll win majority of the time as your never solo in a BG lets face it. In my blue pvp gear i could ruin warriors who had better gear (some purples) quite easily while at same time them f**king rogues would appear and i'm dead from ambush+backstab combo.
only the best pvpers are fun to watch. but no asmon, you acutally have to be good and skilled for rank 14, theres is no handouts. i love this because this is the real classic wow now. streaming will not save you in bg

As a former Grand Marshal let me give anyone debating doing this grind....DO NOT DO IT. Unless you want to pvp 16hrs a day, it's not going to happen. Eventually you won't be sleeping. The rank 14 rewards are negligible when compared to AQ 40 or BWL items.
No, just no. If you have any understanding of basic math you will quickly realise why. You can get the lower ranks easily, but rank 14 requires 60k RP and with a 20% decay, there is no way ever 2 hours a day is gonna get you past rank 6, 7 ish at the release of phase 2

just wanted to say, to the people watching you doing the same thing over and over again. People will do that, there's this one streamer that plays Oldschool Runescape, and he did 6001 kills to get an item off a boss. each kill takes 15 mins each and its the most boring thing you could think of watching, but he easily held 1k-2k veiwers doing the most boring thing ever and he did it day in and day out for 62 days game time. I can promise you PVP is alot better then watching someone kill Corporeal Beast on runescape lol. Check out how to solo corp beast on runescape and see how boring it is XD
