You know what the best thing is though, actually befriending a Venezuelan learning spanish and teaching him English helping him lvl up sk high that he gets a twisted bow drop from raids and moves to chicago with that money and becoming your best friend
its not how osrs economy works. There are certain items that will never get devalued regardless of how much supply there is, because they are constantly in demand or have a set value for high alchemy which never drops. So what happens is venezualans are actaully devaluing gold itself, which is even worse for the game lol. But to be honest, been playing it since release and everythiing seems fine.
Nori yeah not sure how you don’t think they’re deflating gold man.. bringing large amounts of dhide into the game an high alching the bodies would definitely do the trick.
They did that because venezuelans have an insult that is "Cara e tabla" or plank face. This is used for people who after doing something bad or not being trustworthy they show no shame. So they are a Cara e tablas.
The price of green dragonhide has not fallen nor dragon bones, the reasion because people mass buy green dragonhides to level up crafting, and the same thing for dragon bones for prayer. The price of these items is literally the same as it was in 2013. They are ruining nothing. Bots cause more problems than these guys, the ammount of venesulans injecting dragon bones and dragonhides into the economy is like only 5% of the total supply of those items. Asmongold needs to shut up and play the game before he says things like that when 12 year old sheep believe anything he says.
in fact, we aren't. and as you heard, most of the Venezuelans who play this game spend hours in exchange of real money that in a "real" job in this country you'll never have. Anyways, there's many ways to farm gold, not only killing green dragons.
@@MuseVoid isults are not a way to get your point across, only to prove mine. The fact you are using anger in a locial arguement claims to prove that you find my claim valid.
@@mr.voidroy6869 nobody wants to compete with hordes of third worlders farming gold for RWT. Basic supply and demand proves you wrong, gold farmers do drive down the prices of items.
it's really not. an online simulated and simplified economy is so much easier to manage and change. Jagex can add a new item, decrease gold drops, at the press of a button instantly. Real life economies are way more complex and nuanced than a videogame. Runescape only has supply and Demand, and can be influenced by an admin at any time.

Someone needs to send him that Gbay99 video called something like the "Under appreciated MMO". Its about Old School Runescape basically discussing why OSRS seems to have survived despite other MMO's it's age dying well before OSRS restarted. Great video, highly recommend it.

Fun fact: Plank=Tablón in the Latin American version of Ed, Edd and Eddy and yes that show was very popular in that region back in the day including Venezuela ofc.
For asmonbald: The card board says: cara e tabla (gramatically correct: cara de tabla). If you translate it is plank face which doesn't make any sense in English but in Spanish that means someone really cynical. That's why they use a plank. You're welcome.
@@kileNoe yes, we venezuelan´s have seen ed edd and eddy, obviously plank being used for that term isn´t something you´re going to get but we have our own twisted humor about what goes on in the country.
To answer your question about the dragonhides- because of the way High alchemy works on Runescape (you can cast this spell on items to turn them to gold, so lower level equipment made by dragonhides has a set value based on alch output), the price stays relatively static.
Its not a race specific thing like peoples dont just randomly hate south americans. It is because many of them are bots and say these peoples were in wow where they could impact something important would u just let them be if you had an option to do something about it?
Sure but how many are bots? How important is it that they are bots if people are just trying to survive irl? I think putting food on the table really supercedes keeping a virtual economy balanced.
@@I2dios8 And im sure there are plenty of other opportunitys out there where you get rewarded for doing something grindy but at the same time being legal. So they can find some other place to make a living. Bots are not allowed in runescape so no I do not condone peoples to break rules in order to survive. That would be like saying its okay to steal stuff if you are poor. It might be morally okay but its not legal so it will get punished if you get caught. Peoples die all over the world and the world is not a fair place peoples are just very selective and selfish of where they show compassion. As long as it dosent impact themself. If you let these peoples do what they like you do realise that the runescape economy would not be as stable as it currently is and they wouldent make jack shit doing what they are doing right? by killing and banning these bots you are essentially creating a higher demand for them to fill. If no such thing was around supplys would outweight demand and no venezuelan would be able to make a living out of the game which is funny enough also the reason their economy collapsed irl.
@@styxzero1675 Except you're ignoring the fact that most of them are probably not bots, and are therefore grinding legally. And you're willing to jeopardize someone's income to save the economy of a polygonal game from the early 2000s? That's one of the shittiest things I've ever heard.
@@I2dios8 Selling gold is also against the rules dude just as much as botting is. I would like to see how willing you would be letting peoples be that finds a way to destroy league of legends in order to survive. Would you be okay with that?
@@styxzero1675 the venezuelan goldfarmers are actually integral part of runescapes economy. People dont want to admit it.but they keep alot of items that people cant be assed to farm themselves at a reasonable price.
Dragon bones have a demand so their prices actually stay pretty consistent. items like these get removed from the game through training prayer and crafting so they are always in demand. They do green dragons because its solid money without having to do much other than grind f2p quests and get anti fire shield.
@@brrndn7898 To sum it up it was mostly talking about where they're from, their living conditions, why they're doing it, and sometimes they'd ask for help in buying some. Other times we'd just talk about random stuff. I of course never bought any because that would get me banned but I felt bad for some of them.
They only devalue the items they farm a small amount. The prices are probably 20-30% lower for the resources than they would be without the gold farmers, but the resources are taken out of the game as fast as they enter so they'll never tank to zero and will likely continue being a solid source of income for the foreseeable future.
There is a fixed margin for old mob drops in the market. You can sell all you want but they have their own specific low point. And yes it does hurt the economy, however there there will always be someone to but out what is being sold in regards to plain leather because it is a crafting item.
The situation in Venezuela is not a joke This is serious I’m Venezuelan and I had to leave my country and my family and most of my childhood when I was 10 Seriously....I feel bad
Asmongold on Venezuelan bot farming: this is racist and sexist. Asmongold on kid making 10K monthly in RS: I can tell by his weird face. I can tell if someone is guilty or not just by looking at their face.
Thing about OSRS is that its a player-driven economy. When u have something like that its gonna mimic the real world market. There are gonna be market manipulations, speculations, merchers, flippers and ofcourse gold farmers. One thing contradicts the other if players are farming gold and crushing prices down. Since this is real life people we're talking about here ofcourse theres gonna be alot of drama(specifically on reddit), politics, different clans with different rules. Runescape is amazing and I love it to death, been playing for 15 years and il never probably stop lol. Apart from huge amounts of existing content and devs releaseing new content every few months on a rapid rate (from listening to community inputs and votes) the social aspect that I mentioned is also a fun thing. Although this looks like a "kid game", the average player age is 25.
Been playing runescape off and on for 18 years now. The watched video is seemingly inaccurate.. I have over 2000 kills at east dragons on my pure and 99% of the time they are bots. There is a protector logged in who is not a bot on each world, whose goal is to stall a pker until all of the bots have had time to teleport out of the wilderness. 1 account monitors many bots. The bots selling collected d bones and dhide no longer crash the economy. They used to mass sell all of their bones and hides on a specific date , which temporarily crashed the prices however they no longer do this. Regardless of race or script usage, you are in the wilderness, which means you are vulnerable to attack . The wilderness is a quintessential part of runescape and its economy, and its mechanics are widely known.
@@styxzero1675 american minimum wage is 7.25 federally, other states have it higher. Most are 9 an hour or more. 3 dollars an hour is less than half of minimum wage, and about 30% of average wages. Plus you gotta put a couple hundred hours into the account to get to zulrah, so youre losing money, then if you get banned you start all over. Not really worth doing at all
Asmon certain items are elastic and inelastic green d hide and bones arent heavily effected by the number in game cause its alrdy cheap and needed for prayer training and making green d hide armor. If you look at the price of these items from 2004 (rs2) to 2019 (osrs) u will see the fluctuations are small and they sell for around the same price from like 2006 lol. But no doubt bots have an effect on the economy as a whole.
no dragon bones and hide prices remain the same due to jagex allowing this item to serve a purpose a "sink" as you will. these are high demand items that are utilized and multiple ways in the game and they are consumed or crafted so often for this to remain one of the most consistent money makers since 2007 literally. rs is getting really good with creative "sinks"
I play OSRS and personally know some Venezuelan players from my CC that would sell gold. I didn't have any issue with them or their race/situation and sympathized for a while. However they all would betray your trust for GP whenever possible. Beg, ask for loans w/ no intent to pay beg, outright scam, whatever and beyond that they overcrowd many training/money making spots making them not worth using. I don't think that the OSRS community is a bunch of racists waiting for the opportunity to lash out at brown people. Although I'm sure there are some racists in the community, I think Venezuelans have given regular not racist players plenty of reasons to be genuinely annoyed and angry with them as a whole
@@rayray6235 your argument is invalid, its a game, not a way to earn money. Its a shitty situation for them, but runescape is not the right place for that, they are getting banned for a reason man.
One thing that wasn't emphasized enough was the fact that gold selling is against the game rules. Why should anyone have a free pass to break this rule?
Let it be known we have gold sinks in game and a magic spell that turns items into a fixed amount of gp. The demand for dragon bones will always be very high and the dragon hides are crafted into armour that has a fixed alchemy price so these poor sods aren't ruining the economy. Edit:* due to osrs's mobile app release, our player count has exploded and these areas are located in PvP. So the poor buggers are getting hit by the massive chops with the quickness
Kind of crazy that you used a 25 buttholes quote in this comment and the comment right above yours is literally the savage robot lord himself. What a coincidence.
The people that make guides to kill the Venezuelans also really hurts the new member players trying to to earn money for bonds by killing dragons hurt me and many other players

Yeah my OSRS Account got used as a bot too. I am kinda happy about it because he trained my Skills and i got a free 1m gold ingame after i got it unbanned. Sometimes i think about the Guy that used my account just so i can have a talk with him.
Damn, I'm venezuelan and I understand this situation on both sides because im a gamer too, i came to the us but the situation really is desperate, so much that people have to resort to this solutions, and when other people sit behind a screen and say the things they say it really upsets me, I would really like to see these people in the situation Venezuelan people is right now, and i guess they wouldn't like being treated like that
Yeah, but they are not being treated like that as well as maybe ruining their experience is a possibility. Some people just kill them due to PVP being fun, some do it because they hate it, some kill them thinking they are bots etc.
Same boat as you king. Been stateside for 15 years, but it breaks me everytime I hear from home. Luckily everyone's left the country at this point for better lands arouns the world. But Trujillo ain't home anymore now.
They don't impact the economy too much as drsgon bones have stayed relatively the same price. If it wasnt Venezuelans, someone else would be farming the same items
"Wait are they having race wars in Runescape?..................................................This game seems AWESOME I should play this game!" hahahahahahahaha dying
They probably put the majority of their gold in the bank intact all before heading to the wilderness yeah you'll get there dragon skins and armour but they'd just rinse and repeat
Is that really hacking though? If so then I guess when I changed the desktop image on a computer in school the teacher really was right in saying I “hacked” it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It actually doesn't ruin the economy as much as you because of the way the game works. People buy the hides, Make Armour, Sell Armour, Mage buys Armour to alch (for gold & XP), uses to buy items. But due to the mad prices of the Best In Slot this doesnt bring down the prices of them. Same as the Tokens 4mil just isnt really enough to do anything unlike on WoW. High level raids cost around 300M for the gear - which means you would have to spend about £250 on this gear (which is probably going to be lost at some point). Due to the intensity of the game kids dont get very far in the game which means they cant just get mums credit card to be OP.
So the GE is run entirely by the community when new items drop on an update they usually are the highest price you will see after it settles and they find their place in the world the price drops to what players think the item is worth for what it gives. Some items if sold a shit load of will drive prices down however due to the skill system most things stay the same no matter if its 1 item a week that enters the ge or 1 billion a minute. The Dragon bones usually stay the same Because prayer training is expensive. The hides are used in crafting which can be crafted into dhide body /chest which has a high alch value higher then what it is worthless on the ge making you a minor profit. But high alching isnt a money maker by any means but one of the few ways to not use gold to train magic or actually make money. Also the venzula thing i hate how they disrupt the game but honestly if thats the difference between starving or disrupt. Ill fuckin take disruption everytime. 99% of the world doesnt deserve to be poor, to starve, die from lack of medical care. Dont get me wrong i love osrs makes me feel like im a younger me again but if it has to be ruined for people to survive fuck the game.
It drives the price down a bit, but most of the items get used up within the same day and are taken back out of the game from people training prayer and crafting. Yes, if they weren't there though, the prices would be better. Oh yeah, if you stand at the G.E. for an hour, you will see so many scam attempts, attempts to hack, attempts to steal ur stuff. However, if you're a smart player, you just don't interact with them, and you report them.
in rs3 you can auto bot around 20m/hr. at 7 cents per mill, thats 1.5 dollars per hr on 1 acc. Now a bot farm easily consists of 40 bots alternating 20 bots every 12 hrs, to keep from getting banned. thats $30/hr for 24 hrs per day. Thats 720 usd per day, or 21k usd per month. Even in the U.S. its profitable. The process is automated with virtual machines.
Anyone who calls this racist has never actually played a game like this. Most of these "players" are bots and they legit ruin server economies. Just like how Chinese players in Pubg are 99% hackers. The equivalent in WoW would be Ragnaros players who ruin dungeon runs and nose dive your latency by simply existing.
