@@nottherealmccoy4955 Give it some time Martin. Still working on better form when pumping as well. Every once in a while I do a whole session focusing on pumping only.
Thanks a lot Bro! So far my all time favorite Longboard setup. It realy feels like a magic carpet. Have never ever ridden anything like it. No board of mine comes even close. Cheers Randall!
Yeah dude! I just built my Vanguard 42 with the Lombard Surf Plate and a Waterborne Rail Adaptor, 150cm trucks and Abec 11 Flashbacks. Big board and big turns. It's really fun but I'm wanting something shorter too. I can see why you end up with so many boards!
Thanks a lot Ryan! Different Boards for different locations. Some are better for carving downhill- some are much more fun for pumping action or skating banks. Cheers bro!
@@DoubleOverhead Yep I had 180s on this board went to 150s you can hit the 180s when pushing if your pushing is aggressive I also came off on the 180s going pretty fast the 150s just feel all around better.
Thanks a lot Billy! My wife is filming and the camera is a Sony ZV-1. The camera is all I have been looking for. Super small, good audio and you can film even when it's getting dark.
@@DoubleOverhead Your wife is doing a fine job catching the action and using the zoom too. I have a Sony a6500 that I use as well as 2 GoPro's, a HERO7 and a HERO8. Thanks for the info Dan
@@billythephoenix Thanks a lot Billy, I let her know! : ) The Sony 6500 is probably much better than the ZV-1. But the ZV-1 is super lightweight making it really easy.
Looks so cool. I have a Kahuna long board, and have been thinking of changing it to surf skate trucks. Is this the Waterborne adaptor or something else?
Thanks a lot bro! This is another surf adapter/thruster but not the Waterborne. A Waterborne adapter will get the job done as well. Will talk about the specs & details of this setup the next Pimp Your Ride episode. That said, when you take a look at my Pimp Your Ride episodes you will find 2 more clips about longboard surfskates plus the specs. Cheers Mark!
How is that better than a short, wide/ stiff board? I find that setup very limited. You can't ride narrow sidewalks and shred in and out of driveways, etc. The response and rebound is so slow. You ride it well though and still fun to try. Stay well and stoked 🤙🙂
Thanks Michael! It's waayyy faster & smoother than a regular surfskate. If the setups was limited, I would not ride it. When looking at the tight carves I am doing at the beginning of the slope - how come you think I could not do them in driveways? The response is only slow 'cause I am riding the board so fast. Slow is Smooth & Smooth is Fast. This setup is a true sidewalk surfboard. It almost rides as fast as a bicycle, rolls over cracks & is still nimble enough to avoid all pedestrians. Cheers!
@@DoubleOverhead right on! I can't imagine riding that in a pool or a ramp. At least I can't on a board that big. I'd Iike to see you go into a tight driveway as well. I ride a Waterborne front/back with Paris trucks on a 30 x 10 17 wb. I started on bigger boards however. They are many styles to surfskating, im learning. Thanks for the vid. Stay well my friend. Enjoy🤙😊
