Hi, I am thinking about getting the z370 for new 9 gen Intel CPU. However, z370 seems only working with a BIOS update. Do you know if it is possible to update bios by instant flash without CPU?
Normally, you can enter the BIOS by hitting the del key at the appropriate time, while the system is POSTing. You can keep hitting it a few times in order not to miss your window. Still, all that should be mentioned in the manual.
@@toutagamon Yeh I did do all of that and it never did bootup. So what I did to resolve the problem I first updated my motherboard, and then after it got updated I click on Asrock restart Uefi and it worked, but it was annoying to do.
Hi I enjoy your videos they are a great service. I can't seem to find the bios online to download to my flash do you have a link by any chance ? Thank you, I've been to Asrock website and all I find is downloads for things I don't want like Norton utilities and the like. Thanks again for any help.
Here you go mate www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z370%20Extreme4/index.asp#BIOS 1.30 is the latest available. There was a 1.40 version before, but they withdrew it. Just so you know, when you are searching for a bios, just google the mobo's name and when in the page, click on the bios tab.
Can someone help me? I uptatet the bios from P1.3 to P3.2(and now revertet back to P1.3 still broken), in hopes it will fix some ram compatibility issue , bsod memory managament, and now the ethernet connection doesnt work , mac adress is gone and disconnectet, adpter pba is off and wake on lan is n/a , can't edit anithing , how can i fix it , and where is the mac adress on the physical motherboard locatet, i have 2 stikers , one near the ram slots , and another near the m.2 slot
What kind of memory compatibility issue? Intel's cpus do not generally have compatibility issues. At least I haven't ever had a problem. The mac address is a unique identifier assigned to a network adapter or network interface card (NIC) by the manufacturer for identification. I am not sure you can change it permanently or do anything to it, since it's embedded on the hardware level. You can spoof it, with OSes like Linux, but that's it. Also it's not advisable to be going back and forth in BIOS versions. Try flashing the latest one and leave it there.
@@toutagamon i have no ideea whats is broken here the mobo or the ram, with 1 stick of ram i dont have problems so far, but with 2 i get memory errors, , but i paid for 16 gb not just 8..... oh well i dont know il guess il test woth memory stiks alone maybe 1 is broken, corrupted,,, in that case il send them back and get new ones the warranty is stilll in place
@@toutagamon at first i did , i had from the start some crasches but die were not so frequent , in the last month it startet happening, and ive changed them , in every combo possible, i got stable , (i think) config with one ram stick in A2 slot, but its frustating that i have half the ram.... now im testing with a2 ,b1 didn't crash so far, ... have no ideaa are the slots, something wrong in algoritm, or one of the stiks themselvs, ive tried both in stock option and oc mode (2166 stock) , (3000 oc)
@@toutagamon i think i have found the troublemaker, ive run memory diacnostic on both rams, than individualy , 1 of them has harware problems, it gave me all kinds of crappy errors, il contact my store and ask for new ones since they have 10 years warranty, now im with 1 mem stick no problems so far il keep thi sup for 3 days , if no errors come then im 100% sure :)
Hi after updating on bios P1,60 started to give pc a blue screen with whea uncorrectable error I have a processor overclocked by you and everything in the bios update.
Hello. I have updated to 1.60 as well and the settings work fine. Actually I have further reduced the offset voltage to +30mV from +50mV. WHEA uncorrectable error means that some of your voltages are not correct. Please recheck and also see if the load line calibration is at the correct setting when overclocking.
Thanks for the quick reply, the setting is the same as the video but twice a day the computer will show the blue screen "with whea uncorrectable error". I downloaded the Intel Extreme tunig program and I gave it a basic tunig run banchmark and the computer immediately dropped into the blue screen "with whea uncorrectable error" so I went to the bios I set CPU core / chache voltage to fix mode on 1.310. I tried testing stress in aida64,3D mark and banchamrk in Intel extrem tunig and so far no problem to see in a few days.
I don't have a update hmmm.. Only I got a Inernet Flash update, but he says: Internet connection failed.. This is my version now: BIOS Version BIOS Date: 11/24/17 18:05:17 Ver: 05.0000C Date 11/24/2017 What to do?
If you don't need an update, don't do it. I mean is something wrong and you want to fix it? Other than that, writing the update on a fat32 usb stick, should find it easily.
Well, hell. Not what I was expecting. I didn't expect you had to download the bios upgrade and put it on a USB drive. I've been to my motherboard manufacturer, but they make it nearly impossible to tell which BIOS update to upgrade to. This vid is useless to me.
