Huge assassins creed fan since the beginning. This looks amazing cant wait to see how this one plays out.

The second game has always been my favourite one, hopefully this one will top the list. Looks pretty damn good

To be honest I think that the games they have made so far are some of the best I have ever played, I especially thought AC3 was very nicely done, but all the games have been very very good I thought. Besides the main story is so compelling that I would die if I waited that long.

i love all three of my assassin's. but my favorite would have to be altair. he's ruthless, silent, faithful, and full of mystery. edward seems like he's keeping something in..so it'll be interesting knowing what it is

The places you go to look amazing

You can now recruit sailors into your crew and the naval missions are about 40% of the game. The rest happens in over 50 locations including cities and jungles. Also there are no loading screens between locations so you're gonna be placed in a huge open world and will have to use your ship to navigate between islands.

Doesn't matter what this fella does voiceovers for, he'll always be 'finchy' from the office in my head.

That's the best thing about Edward though, his pirate and assassin lifestyles are meant to conflict, and his loyalty to both of them are tested

Its not abaut the gameplay but about the story! You have to play it to understanded, The LOVE for AC!!!

i love the assassins creed saga because the producers aren't afraid to stray too far from the original games, the story and historical events it visits, the story is so versatile.

Every single AC game is great, in my opinion. AC III introduced many new things, and it was great.

Actually, they did put effort into expressions during combat. If you watch Connor and Haytham both make some pretty awesome expressions, in some cases you can see Connor screaming angrily when he makes a blow. You just can't see it properly because most of the time you only see him from behind. In all the AC3 trailers beforehand it was the same

The two games have been made side-by-side. I think they wanted to conclude Desmond's story, which links in a small way to Connor's, before moving on to Edward and how his actions affect the modern day. Plus this game clearly puts emphasis on the naval gameplay - something that was a kind of side-quest in AC3.

Wasn't expecting gameplay so soon...

It gives you a challenge and rewards you for completion I can't think of a game that doesn't do that.

Always wanted to play a good pirate game. I thought maybe Rockstar would make one one day but this looks pretty legit to me.

I remember reading in an interview with someone from Ubi that the "real life" character of this game will be an Abstergo scientist doing studies, post-Desmond.

This is the first time since the original AC that I've been excited about an AC. I hope we find out WHY he was trained by assassains even though he is a pirate...

Seriously,all I want for Edward is his eyes are covered entirely by the shadows of his hood,to make him even more menacing.

Maybe like an interrogation method to get locations of treasure or progress along the story.

i think that was done in one of the assassins creed comics and his name was Aquila

so when it comes down to it all the characters besides Edward since he's the first Kenway assassin, are still born into the order. And plus the Polos that visited Altair became assassin's and they weren't born into it so joining by accidently or intentionally discovering them dates back a while

He means that CoD is getting yearly releases and none of the games looks better or worse than the previous but now that AssCreed is getting yearly releases you can actually see incredible visual improvments.

they've already said a long time ago that YOU the player will be the present day protagonist and will go into the animus, so it is probable that the present day will be played in first person.

Bare in mind Connor is the only story after brotherhood in the main serious and Ubisoft admits that they went for action and game play rather than a story and character the paralleled Ezio's, and have said they paid far more attention to Edward's story and back round this time as it's what the public liked.

actually in a optional talk with desmonds father after we rescue him from abstergo his dad says that abstergo can view memories without the use of the original test subject. What im really interested to see is how they tie in the whole juno plot into this. My guess that Eruditio will have a major role in the present arch of the game, Remember the end of AC3. after the credits a voice says that he managed to hack the memory and find the pivots.

1715... besides Blackbeard, the only other pirates I've heard of that were living at the time were Bart Roberts, Stede Bonnet, and Calico Jack. Maybe we'll come across a famous pirate's shipwreck, because I thought the captain Kidd quest in AC3 was great.

The naval missions were the best feature.

So far the only AsC title I felt was rushed was Revelations it just felt shallow and didn't have much new except for the bombs. But I really was blown away by AsC3. The naval combat, the new streamlined controls and improved graphics and new combat mechanics (quite a lot of changes in the combat in AsC3), all in all such a great title. I loved it! Best AsC game so far. As for 4... only time will tell. The main thing is that it is a new number and in such short time, unusual for AsC games...

Man, Jesper Kyd stopped making music for AC with AC:R. And it was pretty noticeable in ACIII, the songs all revolved around the same themes.

Hope this game has some stealth and missions inside the buildings.Assassin's creed 2 was the best game I have ever seen!

Thats what I was thinking, the rise of cesar, spartacus' slave rebellion and the diveristy of the empire itself and Rome's war machine I think would be a great backdrop to an assassin's creed game

which is pretty sad.. after altair passed away the templars seized the assasin's order in his homeland. and after ezio's passed away, the templars seized the assasin's order in italy... the templars who kidnapped desmond now resides where ezio used to live. its really sad to me

True, but I think the gist is that; Abstergo has advanced the technology behind the Animus to such an extent that they can access the past of any individual, without needing a direct link through blood/family relations.

yeah check a few of the dev diary's/interviews they've done.. i would tell you which one but there are to many and to long for me to re watch them all thus i apologize but anyway the ship aspect in ac3 was ported from ac4 to ac3 to give us a taste of whats to come and to see how its mechanics work so they could improve on it

the idea is that you are an abstergo employee reliving desmond's memories for some reason. the idea is that there is no particular character so there could be potential customisation options.

AC was always about finding that piece of eden to control the world(the real world). The characters you play don't need to have a linking story at all other than the fact that they are the Creed which still exists. If you like it or not... this is AC. And every time there's a new character there's a new number.

This is no less of an Assassin's Creed game than AC3 was. Although we haven't played it yet, I wouldn't be surprised if this is in fact more of an AC game than AC3.

i still don't know what you mean if you mean that desmond is an assassin and that i said the player replaces desmond the assassin in the future has gone and there is no assassins story in the future 2013 only what the player what plays as desmonds ancestors or not his ancestor at all as assassins creed 3 liberations aveline, who i think is not desmonds ancestor and if she is not desmond ancestor that means you have variety of assassins types.

I get more of an Altair feel from him then any of the other characters. Maybe it's because of the fact that Altair started off as a hotheaded badass and was punished for it...but STILL a badass! Ezio was a teen who had a score to settle, almost just like Connor. They were taught HOW to be badasses...This character IS a badass AND he's an assassin! Much more interesting if you ask me.. If not for the training who knows what would have happened to them..

the islands will be like a 10 minute jumping sequence to get a treasure chest with a slight bit of loot in.....

I wonder if this gameplay is the graphics to expect from the Xbox 720 an PS4 because it sure does look awesome!

It is indeed interesting to think what the future and past of the order was before and after me. i havent heard about assassin cowboys and the concept of my life becoming a game eludes me but it is interesting to see how these concepts unfold. But remember this: It may be straying from the original creed but the reason is that there is no time, the battle could become reality in minutes and ceremonies can attract spies. its best if we work alone.

they should add in multiplayer a ship battle and when both ships are next to each other everyone can fight and it would be really cool!

Actually in AC3 the colonial assassin brother had almost completely been wiped out by Haythem. Achilles was the only one left which was why he almost did not except Conner.

Man I totally agree, Assassins creed has always been a great series. It's just the title that doesn't really match to actual game anymore, it's too bad they still want to use this title for what they are doing with it.

has anyone else noticed that a few killing animation are the same as AC3. not that i have a problem as i saw some new ones as well. hopefully since they are still in development phase they just used a few old animations for this trailer.

Hope the combat is as satisfying as AC3, those dual swords look like oh so much fun to use

They already answered. The new modern hero is an Abstergo Researcher studying Desmond's ancestry using his DNA (taken from his dead body). Keep in mind, this does not mean we will be playing as a Templar. We could easlily just be playing a double-agent, or an Erudito agent, or an ordinary citizen trying to make a living :P. We do know that Ubisoft said we will be playing as ourselves, though.
