I want to play 100% of the game with Naoe.

The combat itself doesn't look half bad but it's baffling to me that Ubi hasn't managed to make animations as fluid as they did in Unity back in 2014, hell even Syndicate with its clunkiness looks more fluid, in fact animations got more stiff with every new AC game since then. Maybe they'll polish it but we're talking about Ubisoft here so..

I must admit, making the parkour down animations to be flips is a pretty damn good idea, also idk about the rest of you but naoe's new assasination animations look SLICK. I've always cared alot about assassination animations when it comes to ac, the variety, high and low profile diffrences, cover corner and environmental assassinations are the best

One I thing I can say for sure is that the physics is finally improved drastically

The animation looks like it's skipping frames. Even in the demo. It's not fluid. And also too much slow motion during parry.

She looks SO much smoother than Yasuke. It's clear she's been cooking in the pot a lot longer. I hope they can bring him up to par by release...... either way I prolly will only play him when I'm forced to. Ninja's for life!

As a fan of Sekiro, Tsushima and AC... this is a huge win in my book.

Definitely some things they need to polish before release but it’s looking really interesting. The denied assassination was amazing, so much better than old games where you just kinda fell next to the target

1:16 Movable environmental objects base on player’s physical contact. That’s pretty amazing. I think AC Unity had a promo image of that, but nothing came out of it. Before and after Unity, there had never been one until now. Also, despite the comparison to Ghost of Tsushima, one unique thing Shadow has over that is its city environment for parkour, which Ghost of Tsushima lacks.

Why should I play as Yasuke, if Naoe can do either fight and stealth

Man! This is a beautiful game. Ubi team has put in a lot of effort & it shows.

I wonder if they'll make Yasuke's armor breakable as well like the enemies so you have to get heals and armor, or get repairs, would be a fun challenge

I hope that guard was able to counter naoe because he saw her shadow. So being aware of your shadow is a part of the gameplay. Light discipline is a part of ninjutsu.

Wow! The gameplay gets better and better. I will say though, the Yasuke gameplay seems very slow and clunky. I'm wondering is it because it's meant to be slow and methodical because he is such a big brute character or is it because it's still a work in progress? The more I see of Naoe, confirms for me she will be my main and solidifies my initial thoughts that she should have just been the solo protagonist and the game be all about her path of revenge with Yasuke being a companion ally she meets along the way. She moves the way an assassin should, quick and nimble, silent and deadly. With all kinds of weapons and tools at her disposal. I'm really eager to see the cosmetics for the game. I want a full ninja outfit with hood and balaclava mask.

I dont care what ppl says about this game. I love samurai games, if this is one of them, so be it

Ghost of Tsushima" was released quite a while ago, but it's arguably the best samurai game out there

Parkour looks amazing. But idk why they can’t give us Unity parkour. That was the best parkour system. Mix that with the different movements Shadows has already with Naoe and the fluidity will be better.

1.33 guy is looking around like he cant see who is attacking him . it feels like they made the samurai the a lord of other samurai and he befriended the shinobi. seeing his gameplay of just blasting guns or walking in without a care it just gives impression of luke cage in samurai armour.

Well done Ubi, it's only taken you since Origins to make fabric and clothing blow correctly in the wind.

Wow. I am actualy impressed. Some parts still look rough but easily patched before release. Ive always kept expectations low for AC titles after Origins. But ive always thought about what is an AC game had the flare of For Honour combat, or at the very least reminiscentof it. Some move of naoe looks like the shinobi from For hounour and some of Yasukes attacks and finishers reminds me of the kensei and Shoguki. I'll still wait till the price gets reduce but im interested to watch more peole play this.

The combat looks a bit stiff when playing as the samurai guy but otherwise could be good.

They still have 5 months to polish little things but I'm satisfied with the combat so far!

The gun should take longer to reload. Because right now, Yasuke almost seems to have the same rate of fire than a soldier from the late 19th century.

The problem with this game is that it advertises it as historical fact. If it had been promoted on the premise that it was a completely fictional story, this wouldn't have been an issue. Nobunaga freed him from slavery and hired him, but he was not given a surname. If he could fight, why did he not do anything when Nobunaga was killed? The samurai who found him after the war thought that Yasuke had nothing to do with the battle between the samurai. Therefore, Yasuke was let go and his whereabouts are unknown. Even though I knew the game is is set in the late 16th century, still I was caught by surprise seeing Yasuke with the gun since guns haven't existed in AC since Origins.

Yasuke isnt an assassin but in the cinematic trailer yasuke says some assassin stuff, i hope in the story naoe starts convincing him and eventually teaches him the leap of faith, eventaully leading to yasuke becoming an assassin at the end or something. Would be cool.

I am Japanese, but when I played Assassin's Creed II, set in Renaissance Italy, I finally did not see a single scene where a character crashed into a building wall like this and destroyed it. Also, I have several family members who love the game and have played several Assassin's Creed series, but I have never heard of a similar scene in the same series of games set in other European countries. So why is it that as soon as the game takes place in Japan, suddenly the characters are destroying buildings like this? Is this a message to Japan and the Japanese people from the company that made this game? How weak and fragile Japanese architecture is compared to the traditional stone architecture of our European ancestors. It is so easy for us Europeans with our strong bodies to trample down Japanese buildings made of earth, straw and clay-like plaster, and the efforts of Japanese architects. Is that what they are saying to the Japanese? I have heard that European countries are very enthusiastic and passionate about the preservation and restoration of traditional architecture, and have a habit of treating old buildings and tools with great care. And yet, people in European countries destroy other countries' traditional architecture in order to satisfy their own hearts and get pleasure from it like this? What a sad message of one-sided and violent body language! In reality, in Japan, these walls are carefully constructed by skilled Japanese craftsmen using carefully selected building materials, extreme concentration, attention, and long hours. If there had been even one Japanese person on the staff of the French company that created this game, this scene would never have been created. Most Japanese who were born and raised in Japan know how difficult and rigorous training is required to qualify as a traditional building craftsman to build these walls. Few Japanese would be so disrespectful to traditional architecture. Only an eccentric person with a penchant for eccentricity would do such a thing. This scene, shown only for a moment, shows how poorly researched the French company that made this game was and how wildly and crudely they made the game. It looks like a game designed to spread a completely false image of Japan and misconceptions about the Japanese people. As a Japanese, I am shocked and heartbroken. I now understand how little interest people overseas have in Japan and how much they consider hurting Japan as a form of entertainment. I guess the production staff who made this game do not understand Japan or Japanese people, nor do they have any feelings to understand them. Needs a lot of polish. The general outline is good, but the animations are lacking, the combat itself, the finishers and blood effects especially. Just looks rough as hell. Hope they fix it but they probably won’t before launch.
