The Axle should be tight around the bushings. Make sure you have greased the axle and bushings. Also make sure you are not putting it on at an angle. This can cause the axle to bind. a rubber mallet can be useful at this step. If the bushings are absolutely too tight you can swap the bushings in the pivot leg with a new set from member care.
Just finished putting this together. The display will not move past "hello" and just beeps three times when I press/hold any of the buttons. Also if I press the Bluetooth button it says "13ff".... HELP!
@@FitnessEquipmentHelp Why are you forced to create an account before your equipment will work? The manual says there is a manual mode, but it seems like now I am being forced to sign up for a monthly subscription? Is this accurate? Because no where did it say this was required...
If you are missing parts from a new product, please contact ProForm at the phone number on the front cover of your users manual. Do make sure to check all the crevasses in the styrofoam inserts. Some units are packed very well and every available space is used. If the parts are missing however please call.
I liked this product. Need a help. Can some one please let me know what is the height (from the ground) of the top most position of the pedal since I would like to know what is the minimum height of the ceiling to install this equipment?
Can't figure out what to adjust. When my oldest son uses it one of the arms rubs the center pole. But not when I use it. Perhaps I need to tighten something that is moving with someone heavier. But can't figure out where to start. Nothing is clicking or wobbling, yet it clearly knocks when he uses it. He is not over weight limit so that's not it. Any suggestions on what to look for? Great video also. Very helpful. I am really happy with it overall. But do realize getting a floor model will have its drawbacks. $100 was worth the risk.
I'm glad you like the machine. Can you explain which part of the arm is hitting the center post? Using the key numbers in the manual will help be specific? I do know one thing that causes movement is if all the hardware is not in place. I have seen units with the washers Key #87 are left out of assembly step 10. If these washers are missing or if any of the hardware in step 10 is loose then the arms can move side to side on the axle and cause a knocking noise. I would check there first.
I know this is a old video but I need help I cannot locate the pivot axle anywhere!! Do you know if its suppose to be in a bag or hooked to something 😔
How do I get the pivot axle through? The video makes it look so easy. Mine is almost through but will not budge. I cant even get it out at this point. HELP!
The pivot axle may bind in the upright bushings. make sure to have someone else there to help hold the pivot bracket while you push the axle through. If your bushings are really tight the use of a rubber mallet may help persuade the axle through the bushings in the upright.
i just bought the exact item and tries lots of batteries and its still not working! can you please give me the exact batteries used in the video? also is it a 9V batteries ?
The Console for the model in this video, PFEL03815, requires four D batteries (not included); alkaline batteries are recommended. D sized batteries are used in the video. Do not use old and new batteries together or alkaline, standard, and rechargeable batteries together. Make sure to orient the batteries as shown by the diagrams inside the battery compartment. Each D battery provides 1.5 volts.
How long do batteries last...it doest have a off button. And it looks like ill be buying that power adapter..which proform doesn't mention on their web site.
The battery life will depend on how much it is used and how often you engage the resistance motor. i have seen batteries last from a few weeks to a few months depending on use.
I cannot get the pivot axle to go all the way through. When I go through one end and through the bracket its okay but it will not go through the other end. So I took it out and tried to put the axle through the end I couldn't get through and the axle will not go through that hole. Is one hole smaller then the other?
The holes should be the same size. it is possible that the bushing on the side that the axle will not go through is tight on the tolerances or out of spec all together. Fortunately the bushings are replaceable. We even have a video that demonstrates the process.
After using the machine I get a persistent grinding sound from the rear right arm connection to the flywheel. I have taken the machine apart and made sure that all axels were greased and all connections on the right and left arm are tight but the grinding noise continues. Any suggestions?
does the noise seem to occur at 1 spot in the revolution or is it more of a constant noise. constant noises or noises that occur many times per revolution of the crank often indicate issues with the flywheel or other pulleys inside the unit that rotate more than once every time the pedals go around. The crank and crank axle only travel around 1 time per revolution of the pedals so noises associated with the crank usually occur only once or twice per revolution. Often times noises from inside the side shields can seem to travel to the pedal arms. If you are hearing a grinding and it seems to be coming from the right side I would want to check the flywheel bearings or possibly the bearings associated with the secondary drive pulley.
My console turns on when I press the button but movement of the pedals does not turn on the console. Neither do the movement of the pedals register on the console. All the wires are connected. Do I have a defective console?
It is more likely that the pedal sensor in your unit has fallen out of adjustment. Check the troubleshooting section of your users manual for instructions on how to "adjust the reed switch" on your specific model.
Do you see any corrosion in the battery compartment? This can keep the batteries from making good contact and can possibly be cleaned. If your model has the option for a plug into the wall power supply, you could try hat as an alternative to replacing the console.
@@FitnessEquipmentHelp Thank you no plug in wall. Frustrating because I the loved the product. How can I order the console I did replaced the batteries . It went on but no functions worked.
+Mark Rohlf In order to remove the plastic shields completely you will need a crank puller. This is a tool that you can get at any local bike shop or online. The crank puller you will need is a square tapered crank puller. Using the crank puller to remove the crank arms and removing the screws from around the perimeter of the plastics should allow you to remove the plastics completely. If you have any issues with this you can visit the support ProForm Support site at support.proform.com and consult your user's manual. There is also a video that demonstrates how to use a crank puller. You can find it here. support.proform.com/using-a-crank-puller-video/
Most likely you will find it at the base of the machine in the front, on the base itself or the upright. Your owners manual will likely show the location in the assembly section if a power adapter is available for your machine. As for the amount of voltage, you may want to see what power supply ProForm provides by entering your model number in the search box on this page: support.proform.com/parts-manuals/ let us know your model number if you need more help.
Most clicking noises occur because parts are able to move when they should be holding still. i would suggest tightening the assembly hardware. particularly where the haves of the frame join together, and where the 3 screws where the pedal arm attaches to the crank arm bracket. (steps 8 and steps 11 in the users manual assembly). also check steps 14 and 15. In these steps the nut should be seated in the hex shaped holes in the handlebars .If the nut is not seated in the hex holes you will get clicking noises.
I hesitate to comment on specific exercise or workout information as i am not an exercise physiologist or a doctor. I will comment that to keep your machine operating well it is important to keep it clean and tighten parts that may come loose as you work out. As far as reaching your goals or achieving specific results there is iFit. iFit is an fitness program that integrates with the equipment. I like how it communicates with my fitness tracker band, then creates a workout for me for that I can use on my equipment to hit my goals if I'm a little low on my calorie burn or if I ate extra calories that day.
The seat adjustment may very from model to model. You should refer to your owner's manual for specific instructions for your model of equipment. To adjust the seat on this model (PFEL03815), loosen the carriage knob and pull it outward, slide the seat to the desired position, and then release the carriage knob into an adjustment hole on the frame. Make sure that the carriage knob is securely inserted into an adjustment hole. Then, tighten the carriage knob.
It is a spring loaded mechanism. If the treads are not out all the way it could prevent the extraction of the seat pin; keep loosening the knob. Also, if the pin in in a bind it may be hard to pull it out try pulling out the pin when no one is sitting on the seat or when trying to relieve any pressure exerted on the pin.
This sounds like you may have a defect in the console. The console should power on or wake from sleep mode when new batteries are installed, when a button is pressed, or when the sensor detects someone is pedaling on the unit.
Either the pivot spacers are too thick, the m8x14mm screws are too short or the pivot axle is too short. I've called and called customer service and they tell me they are going to send me more m8x14mm screws, I'm like why? They are too short! I mean like, what, so disappointed!!!!!!!
What is the length of your axle? I'm sure that longer screws could be found if that would help. It would be better to make sure you have the correct length axle.
Da Galaxy Void I finally got through to them that the pivot axle was too short. The one they packaged was 12 1/4 inches. They finally sent another axle that's a little over 14 inches long. But, I had to register the machine first before they would send it.
Which assembly step are you referring to? in many cases if parts don't seem to fit it is because parts assembled earlier in the assembly were tightened when they should have been left loose. Without having any other details, I would double check that the previous instructions are followed and the orientation of the part.
