Hi Ron, i've the actition fswitch - same as the synthstrom one. Coded for note messages. But it's not talking to the deluge, despite the deluge powering it OK. What am I missing? I've tried holding down learn and pressing a switch but it's just not interested. I've email thomas at the company on it, and he's trying to help, but maybe it's just about getting my head around it. I dunno!
@@RonCavagnaro it's def sending notes when plugged into its utility on the Mac. It's got a printer shaped usb on the fswitch so I patched two usb printer cables back to back so it goes to the deluge usb

Im sure I will figure it out once my Synthstrom midi foot controller gets here (UPS always gets to me last even when watching that live map:). So is it possible to go completely hands free? I notice that you have to sort of latch the row then hit the pedal to start recording. Maybe its possible with the first loop? Just wondering if I can keep my hands on the gear and go fully from my feet by just setting the audio clip in advance.
Hey you want the deluge near definitely, try testing it with a keyboard or something sending a midi note. I don't think I would say it's completely hands free.
@@RonCavagnaro Good to know. Maybe the continuous layering is right up my alley then. Been looping like a madman lately so I'm used to using my hands, its at least good to stop the loop without taking my hands off the synth. Thanks for the response.
Hey Ron, thanks for the tutorials! I'm having trouble figuring out how to assign a different MIDI note number for different tracks on the looper. For example, if I wanted to have say, MIDI note 1 trigger a guitar clip for looping, MIDI note 2 trigger a keyboard clip, MIDI note 3 trigger a second guitar section, etc. Could you please help? Thanks!
Hmm well I would say look at the manual and see how the controls are described in the settings menu, you're pretty much asking to set up things in a way that it doesn't operate.
@@RonCavagnaro Ah I see. So essentially there's no way to really be hands free about it when it comes to selecting the track that you want to loop. Am I correct about that?
@@andrewlevinsounds I would recommend just watching how I do it, from the video, it's the way I figured out. You can do it hands free you just have to set it up.
@@RonCavagnaro well what i'm saying is, is there a way to select the track you want to loop hands free? obviously you closed the loop hands free. thanks again man, i don't know why this is so confusing to me. i have totally read the manual many times and watched about all the looping videos online.
@@andrewlevinsounds oh dang. Idea. Scratch what I said. You could set up each track, then learn the mute to a midi note, and leave the tracks muted, enable record with another midi note.
