The 9H usually signifies 9.5 so you may have been sent an early half size. Generally the regular loafer is made from a more substantial leather that takes more break-in than the travel loafer. Also, the pucker may be resolved by wearing socks as that is more of an option for the regular vs travel loafer. I own the regular loafer with a rubber sole and a more travel style option from Tecovas in a bison leather. I can wear the regular loafer with jeans/khakis (socks optional) through 3 or 4 seasons, but the travel loafer style Tecovas are mostly with shorts or light weight pants in spring and summer only.

The nubuck is a great looking leather. I have their Chelseas in that leather and they look great.👍

The tan leather is just a normal veg tanned leather that water spots easily. It’s fairly common. Best thing to do it keep wearing them and they will darken over all.
