I have G14 2021. About Shadow of Tomb Raider, it's true that you get 83 fps on Ultra on G14 (2021). But if you connect a external monitor which disables iGPU, you get 93 fps. As you know, G14 (2022) have MUX switch. In this way, they both get same performance but G14 (2021) has RTX & DLSS as a bonus. For advanced users, you can even boost the GPU wattage by +30W via VBIOS Flash.
Man your production value has gone up so much since i first subbed. Keep it up. Dont ever give up your demeanor and attitude. It really makes you unique. #5'2"Stripper
I have never laughed so hard yet got a great perspective like this before. 5'2" strippers, COVID money, more use of "I digress" than Taz on AEW, etc. Honest, funny & never dragged during the review. A+ and a sub too.
Just got it. Decent laptop for price got for $1199.99 new. I've seen it for as low as $1099.99 at best buy. I was considering the animatrix version with 32gb of ram and 6800s but it's $2499.99 don't see sales as much I'm still looking Tho. Can't believe new g14 2023 will have up to rtx 4090 125 watt. Wow!!!
Yeah it's not a enough of a performance jump for me to switch from last years to this years, especially since last years outperforms the new one while using Davinci Resolve
I had the 2022 g14 for a few days but returned it due to some display problems and bugs, i suggest the blade over the rog as of right now, at least for the 6700S model, there seems to be a lot of hit or miss cases, and the ratings on Best Buy seem to be dropping as now its at a 4 star only going lower. From my experience Razer has a bit better QC, and aside from that, base RTX 3070 laptops will out perform the 2 g14 models. If battery life is a concern to you, any laptop running last years or this years Ryzen cpus will out perform any intel laptop out right now. If you go for the 2022 G14, just make sure you're buying from some place with a nice return policy, because although it can be an amazing laptop, there are A LOT of under performing and faulty 2022 6700S g14s (someone had to return 4 times before getting a proper working 2022 g14), so, be weary
Is an AMD graphics card suitable for graphic design or is it better to look at the 2021 version. In the new version, I like the screen and keyboard more, but the gpu from AMD confuses me. I would like to hear your opinion on this, thanks in advance.
Depends on the application, but Nvidia has better support for design applications that's for sure. AMD can compete a bit more on applications such as Photoshop and Davinci but still looses.
I was very hesitant in-between, this model (6800s), the 2021 model (RTX 3060) and alienware x14. Personally I think the 2021 > 2022. My reasoning is that 3060 = 6700s (and 3060 > 6700s with any DLSS games, and with the 95w custom bios, easy choice). And while the 6800s is slightly outperforming the 95w bios (except when DLSS is in there). Also the 2021 doesn't have a MUX switch, so if you're using an external monitor you get a ''bonus'' 10% performance for your 3060 free of charge. And most importantly, AMD just suck. They historically have issues with drivers (G15 advantage having multiple unresolved issues to this day for example) and don't support their GPUs as long as Nvidia (5 years for AMD vs 8 years for nvidia average) and their technologies are just worst (3060 matching a 6700XT with DLSS vs DLSS AMD equivalent). CURRENTLY it's a lot better to buy all the discounted/open box 2021 models with RTX 3060 out there, but in a few months it might become better value.
@@Hamox the 2021 model also has a 1440p display, if that's what you REALLY want, and battery life is about the same. Doesn't warrant almost 1000$ extra for slightly more performance (until AMD fuck it up again).
@@Daniel_Clem bro what are u smoking lol. The screen is way better the old one had a sht response time and was 16:9. Also the battery life has been improved a lot this year due to the new 6900hs cpu. Also its mostly on sale on BB for 1499 so its not really that expensive and u can get open box for 1300
