@@druidofthefang analog gear sure, but the tone and thematic of synthwave is based on 80s esque presets and tone, like Gary Newman - Cars. Most notably Outrun, the game... but 80s music had alot of simliar sounding tones. Such as the gated reverb on the snare. And a simple Kick on one and three, also snare on 2 and 4. And of course the tom rolls. All the freaking tom rolls.
