We had planned a 23 mile day but it became evident by midday that that have been a bit ambitious. We opted to pull up at a small hotel after 15.8 miles. We were met that evening by our friend and trail angel Sir Stops a Lot, whom you may remember from our Hot Springs, NC stay. He and Trail Angel Steve were starting their trail magic tour of the north and had planned to slack pack us for several days in Vermont.
