Idk if anyone has told you yet but part of the reason San was accepted into Kq entertainment was his composing ability, he was called “genius composer” by his company predebut but he stopped to focus on singing and dancing but he recently said he wants to start again so hoping we get a song from him soon!

In terms of dance, Yeosang never really lacked in the technical skills. He was always just as good at that as ATEEZ’s other long-time trained dancers (Mingi, Yunho and Wooyoung). What he lacked was the confidence. I know everyone says that a lot but it’s true. His moves themselves weren’t exactly awkward, he just didn’t always put enough power or surety into his them like he was afraid to stand out when he wasn’t in the centre. Or rather, the rest of ATEEZ prefer the “mala” (spicy) style of performance, whilst Yeosang said himself he thinks that doesn’t suit him and prefers cooler and smoother stage presence. Nothing wrong that really, it just meant he blended into the background a lot and the others stood out more. Since 2021 it’s like a switch flipped though, kinda like he finally found stability in his own body and talents. I love what you said about San too - they might tease him about his dramatics on stage, but they never force him to tone it down. On the other hand, they’ve said many times the point of ATEEZ is for everyone to dance in their own style. Nobody has to fit in one box and they’re allowed to express themselves.

i also agree about ateez letting san be himself, and this goes for all the other members too. they do a really good job at letting each member have their own individual flair while still remaining cohesive as a group. hongjoong is my ult bias but san is my favorite performer in all of kpop. i never get bored watching his fancams because he's so expressive and really transforms into the character that the song calls for. he gets alot of underserved hate from kpop stans accusing him of "overperforming" to the point where he admitted that in a recent performance, he purposely toned down his expressions to look more attractive on camera, but afterwards he was upset with himself for doing that, and said he doesn't like to perform with no emotion.

I know all fans love to hear youtubers compliment their idols but we appreciate it on another level when we can see sincereity. Thank you for REALLY loving Ateez and their performances.

This is an older version and not quite as good as the newer ones. However…Precious/Treasure is by far my most favorite stage!!!!!!! I hadn’t really appreciated it before seeing it live. Now when I hear Precious I feel like Lightiny is in my hand and I’m right back there. And I tear up 🥹🥰

I love "New World" on their new album. I was reminded what a great dancer Hongjoong is. And I love what you said about San, and how he can be who he is without having some type power struggle or limitation. I hope Ateez will stay supportive in that way with each other for a long time.

Ateez really grew on me out of the blue. I was such a casual listener with them before but now I’m obsessed. I didn’t even know their names besides Wooyoung 😭 I’ve been eating up their content for damn near the last 2 months now.

Treasure flowing into Precious is honestly an ELITE follow-up. These dudes are actually i n s a n e.

Hongjoong is a small person but his dancing is very wide and big and the other part that I feel that he uses a lot is the head he was the one who used his head to dance violently. I've tried rocking my head as hard as him and it really hurts and the expression on his face was fierce and charming at the same time. I don't know, I'm addicted when he's on stage, his personality is really attractive

If you want to hear Jonghos lower singing, you should definitely check out his solo covers through KQ. Hongjoong also has some singing covers there.

I don’t if it’s been commented already but - Hongjoong wrote Precious before they debuted. You get a preview of it at the end of the Say My Name MV. Also, most of the background vocals you hear in the songs are done by Wooyoung, Seonghwa, and Yunho and San does a lot of the harmonies as does Yeosang.

i adore your commentary! firstly, you’re so right about yeosang and how great his knees are. i noticed this from when they did kingdom, the mayfly dance stage had a duo part with him and a stray kids member, he shined so much in that part because of how well he controls his leg movements, so sharp! his centre parts in geurrilla and sector 1 really showcase his incredible leg control, his stage presence has definitely grown over the years and i think there is more to come. And about what you said about jongho, i agree. each ateez member seems to be stuck in a role(which isn’t inherently bad but is slightly disappointing when they all have variety) with the exception of the rappers since they have ventured out a few times. jongho does have moments outside of ateez songs where he showcases his diverse skill, one of my favourites is when he went on yu huiyeol’s sketchbook for a solo activity and sang ‘a late night in 1994’. it would be lovely for you to react to this.

As someone who is coming from cyberpunk and industrial subcultures , Cyberpunk by Ateez is my absolute favorite song from them. The instrumental sounds like EBM and synthwave inspired, they really did a good job with the lyrics to describe some of common cyberpunk topics. Actually the whole album amazingly fits to cyberpunk concept (probably inspired by movie Equilibrium). They made it dark, heavy, dystopian, they put a lot of emotions in it especially pain, desperation, hopelesness. It is cyberpunk. it's beautiful, it's amazing. It speaks to my soul.

The Ring has risen to be maybe my favorite song on the album. I’m torn between it and New World. MinGi’s rap just hit me. It’s so perfect. And then SeongHwa’s chorus. This song make me feel like I can accomplish anything. Also the harmonies in this album are OUTSTANDING!! It feels like Edenary put them a little more in the front that’s usual. And you can hear each of them so well.

Speaking of concerts, from their recent concert, I highly recommend Inception (Yeosang killed the new intro), Take Me Home (make sure the person recording was in the center--it matters to get the full effect), and their Good Lil Boy/Leaders/To the Beat/Thanxx set--they were rocking out. Also, on their European leg, Maddox (a KQ soloist and producer) went with them and sang 2 songs--his Easy On Me cover lives in head rent free.

Treasure + Precious is seriously one of the best song combinations. If I were to compare it to movies, it's an iconic 2-part film. The instrumentals, harmony and the choreography all blend together and are continuations of each other. The beginning pose for Treasure is the ending pose for Precious that basically means they're looking for the treasure again and then crave it again and then look for it again, it's a cycle.

Ateez really lets the individuality of the members stand out. If you watch Demon line Seonghwa, Hongjoong, San. Yeosang and whatever genre this album falls under, are a match made in heaven, he is feeling himself and I love that for him. Mingi... That man wants to kill me, I swear. 😭😭😭

The Fix Ver was sooo amazing. I actually cried. And I’ve never cried to a dance practice before. It was their energy. That’s all I can figure out. The way they stomp forward. Such intention and menace!! LOVE IT!!!

Jonghos episodes from when he appeared on masked singer surfaced and he said in an interview that he wanted to show more sides of his voice than just his high notes, so even he feels that he wants to show that he can do so much more than just that! And i want to see some variety for him too. (some songs i can think of is illusion, dazzling light, thank u, light, aurora, one day at a time, with you, the real, time of love...) :) And yeah one of my favorite things about Ateez, is how they work as a team and they compliment each other so well, but at the same time individuals are allowed to shine. They all have their own uniqueness. Yeosang used to be quite unsure of himself but he's grown sooo much over the years, especially when it comes to his confidence, and i think during the recent world tour he grew even more, because damn he owned that stage. San was the reason for me falling for ateez over 2 years ago, he drew me in like a magnet. He was my only bias (with the others as wreckers) until i saw them live this 3months ago, where Yunho made such an strong impact on me so nowadays im double biased hahah :)

Treasure and precious were always meant to be connected, song wise, lyric wise and choreography wise. They made them that way.

back in the days when precious was new i didn't gave enough credits to this song, but after seeing precious at Ateez concert in Paris, it was phenomenal, i can't put words into it, you have to live it. Thank you for reacting to ateez so much this day ! i just subscribe !

I swear to god, Hongjoong has the strongest neck haha. I am always amazed and sometimes scared how he moves it, like that man must be sore! 🥲 Desire really has an iconic point in the choreo regarding Hongs neck where you can actually hear people scream 'break your neck' at the concert right before it comes up 😂 also I just loved seeing you geek over them just as we all do 🥺 And yes! Do Wanteez! The first episode was so cute and another official reason why Hongjoongie now has become my second bias next to Yunho (I have now two biases and six bias wreckers - life is suffering).

I’m really here for the amount of Hongjoong appreciation you have because SAME! Like before I got into Ateez, Hongjoong was visually my fav, he was the one who stuck out to me the most before I even started listening to them(I think it’s his smile) but when I did get into them I genuinely couldn’t understand someone being that talented or the that well suited for his role in his group! the craziest thing about the treasure and precious performances. They were only a 1 year old group, like new new rookies. Already going on a world tour and performing so proffesionally. Its never seen before.

What u said about jongho is actually a twitter discourse that has been happening for a while now. Even Jongho on KOMS said that he wanted to prove he can do more than high notes. The atiny discussion was about how the atz producers have been using the same predictive/repetitive formula whereby u can now predict a jongho belt or who sings what part. I feel like their production team need to switch how they distribute vocal parts. Coz they have a solid vocal line at the moment it's just untapped. Plus Jongho is a phenomenal singer minus his belting. I feel like a black producer could do wonders for them(this isn't biased in any way lol I just need 1 song in their discography by my people). Like whoever produces for sm or something.

AHHH YES the production quality with all the harmonies and bits and sounds they put in their music is SO. SO. GOOD. like i remember when i first listened to inception for the first time with headphones, i LOOOOVED just listening to everything going on around the vocals just as much as i enjoyed the vocal melody itself! and i completely agree that yeosang has been KILLING it. like it makes me so happy seeing how much more he's been able to show off his skills compared to before! and everything you said about san during the dance practice put such a big smile on my face, like trying to put a cap on that amount of dramaticism and intensity feels like it should be a crime lmao, like he truly brings so much life to their stages and it's so wonderful that he can express that so freely. and imo i think that the idea stretches to hongjoong and seonghwa as well (fitting since the three of them are the demon line of ateez lmao)! hongjoong because he never fails to put on that iconic demonic smile for a performance + those moments where he really throws himself into the choreo like you had pointed out + that charisma and confidence that just creates this aura around him that makes him impossible to miss. seonghwa because, just focusing on guerrilla here, there have been several occasions where he talks about this specific expression he puts on for that last dance break where they move their heads, and there's just something about the way he talks about it and brings it up multiple times that makes me feel the pride and confidence that he has in expressing so boldly like that. so, tying in what you said about san, it makes me so happy that, even when the members themselves can joke about it with one another sometimes, there always seems to be that level of respect, acknowledgement, and encouragement of each other's strengths and what they bring to the team, to the point where they feel free and confident enough to express things how they want to express them even within the group setting. but anyways, putting that treasure + precious set on full blast is truly the only correct decision, hongjoong is literally ethereal, and it makes me so happy that you've fallen in love with yunho (even if hongjoong and mingi test you sometimes. i have like 3 biases though so i can't judge lmao). thank you so much for the video!!!! always love hearing your thoughts!! and also just watching you vibe with ateez stages as if you're in a concert (bc BIG same)

You should check out ‘Poppia’ from KCon. The line distribution is amazing and the song is so different from what Ateez has done in the past. I love the way they continue to grow and branch out and how willing they are to try new things. My ult group for sure. Side note: Yeosang is trying real hard to take the spot of bias wrecker during this comeback. Like, sir, what are you doing to me?

They are the most underrated members of the group who have parts in some of ATEEZ’s choreography making. No one talks about them much anywhere and it’s abit saddening. Since Wooyoung Yunho and Mingi are ATEEZ’s main dancers.

Treasure is their FIRST song in the Treasure album series while Precious is the LAST song in the album series. Thats why these two songs connect to each other as their start and ending point of the journey in their treasure album series.

Kudos! Edit; Regarding Treasure-Precious duo- Treasure is the their debut track - the start of the Treasure series and Precious is the song on the last album of their Treasure series (5th album). The melody that's in the beginning of Treasure is the melody at the end of Precious and Hongjoong does the same gestures but reversed for those parts. It ties in with their lore of travelling between different dimensions/through time. EDENARY (the producers) make really amazing use of such musical motifs (eg. Answer MV end - Sector 1 beginning) basically like Easter eggs to guide us through their story line it's incredible and one of the many reasons I love ATEEZ's work.

for songs where they switched things up a little and don't have jongho belting on the prechorus: Blue Summer, All About You, Dazzling Light, Not Too Late, Eternal Sunshine, & Light...(there could be more but this is just off the top of my head)

Precious is one of my favourite ATEEZ songs, specifically _Precious (Overture)_ which first appeared on Treasure EP:FIN as an interlude in the album. That one just hits different idk.

This is a very late comment, but a song I can think of where Jongho doesn't sing the pre-chorus is Time of Love. And then there's desire in which Jongho has the pre-chorus but it's not a high belt. I also would love to recommend light, it's rnb, yunho has the chorus, and mingi sings much softer in it.
