Gotta love the respect Atem clearly holds the Winged Dragon in, there’s a humility in his voice that’s almost begging even as he commands the beast to come forth
It's a mixture of honor and command from the way I hear it. He must summon Ra with respect, but he mustn't be weak neither. As a good leader listens, but also takes charge.
I love this version of the summoning chant for The Winged Dragon of Ra. It's what one would say should they not be invoking this great beast of the sky in a Shadow Game. Plus, the dialogue fits Atem given how humble he is and how he values his monsters.
@@uchihaitachi7920 That card would just be adding insult to injury anyway. Any opponent that allows you to have all 3 god cards out can just be taken out with their combined firepower.
@@Megalonstan64 If the opponent had Raigeki in hand or on the board, he would have played it the moment you put out Ra, Slypher or Obelisk - he has no way of knowing if you have all 3 gods or not. Also, you could've attacked with the one or two gods that you got out already.

This duel remains my favorite in all the Yugioh series. Yugi comes up with an amazing strategy to defeat the Egyptian Gods, thus proving his ability as a duelist, not being helped by Atem this time.
Yugi was never helped by Atem. Atem did all the fights for himself on his own. Most people just thought they were the same person. And Atem got all his gaming skill from Yugi. It was actually Yugi helping Atem throughout the series as a result.
When the first God cards came out with no script, me and a friend on mine got them and used them in our decks with "anime rules" , basically being invisible. So fun when we were pulling out our God cards and on the rarest occasions that we would win AGAINST a God, we were fuckin' loosing it :)
You little chance of fighting back against Egyptian god cards. Some good counters were Raigeki, dark hole, Torrential tribute, Mirror force and crush card.

Marik commanded confidence and power. He demanded Ra use his power to vanquish those he believed lesser. Ra respected that power, and thus Marik did not waver. Ra allowed Marik to borrow such power. The Pharoah reveres and respects Ra, summoning him in his court with his two trusted subordinates at his side. The Pharoah summoning not one, but all three of them with Ra front and center, while his chant acts more as a prayer, that he may be allowed to stand in Ra's light while battling. Ra blesses the Pharoah with this appearance, and in being defeated with Slifer (Osiris) and Obelisk simultaneously, Ra deems Yugi worthy before returning to his eternal rest.
I made up a chant based on Bahamut from Dungeons and Dragons. Since he’s the king and god of Dragons and I saw this, I thought I would make up a chant that suits him. Here it is. “Oh great king and protector of the land, sea, and sky, I ask of thee please head my call. Descend from the heavens to bring forth a shine of light to brighten the darkness in this fight. I beseech thee, punish those who do evil, bring grace to all who honor you, for I now shall call out thy name! Dragon King Bahamut!”

Still the most epic summon in Yu-Gi-Oh anime history, and there are PLENTY of contenders for the top spot. Especially when you consider how absurdly powerful Ra is in the anime. There are very few anime boss monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh that come anywhere close to how powerful this thing is.

@@TotalEvo7 he summoned queen knight and king knight which gave him jack knight, and then summoned slifer via special summoned. Then he normal summoned ra using the knights.
We must not forget that Maximilian Pegasus made only one other copy of the Winged Dragon of Ra card for research purposes that was later stolen that is seen in an episode of yugioh gx
In the video when king atem summoned the third Egyptian god card and when he put the card on his duel disk why did rainbow lightning bolt coming out of the card
@@bangbangcan2 duelist kingdom rules werent tcg compatible. Duelist kingdom forward the rules were same as rl with some exceptions. God cards being some of them
