You must watch her Athing Mu give an interview. This is the most polished speaker and runner I have ever seen. Her competitive range on the track is from 200m to 5000m. She is so focused on her training that she chose not to run for her high school so that she could maintain her personal training regimen.

The fact we had the 2021 Olympics and not the 2020 Olympics made a world of difference, no pun there.

Ok hold on so now instead of posting the winner you put 2nd bests time on there because they are promising potential. Ok dont get me wrong its nice to note those who are fast such as boling. But here is the problem. *Everyone overhypes em.* Like I am just gonna say this you may have potential as a kid but until you actually proove it that you have what it takes. Case and point a few months ago you posted a (and I am sorry if its wrong) a pan american u20 4x4. Matt did pretty good during his run with a 45.5. Meanwhile the anchor Robinson, who is 17 (matt is 19 btw and out of highschool, Robinson was a junior) ran a 44.6. Aka almost a second faster than Boling. He beat him by about 8 meters if they ran against each other. And who was in the title. MATT BOLING. The guy who didnt run the fasteat time was put in the thumbnail and the title of the video. For fucks sake stop ignoring the people who actually did better in favor of the trend. Jesus people watch track to see a good race and then maybe discuss the people in it if they are major fans. If they wanted to watch a video of a specific person they would find videos where they either won or they had compilations of them. Not one where they set a good time for their age and didnt win the race. And last bit stop saying the names in the title to indicate who won (or who was the main focus). I dont know why this is so hard. The audience wants to find out who won, not already know it. Literaly a simple fix to this video would be "Highschooler puts the pros through their paces". Or "athlete 1 battles with athlete 2 on the home stretch. Did we mention athlete 2 is # old". It is that simple, that hard. Take it or leave it.

the point of the video is that a HIGH SCHOOLER ran a #6 all time HIGH SCHOOL time. The winner ran well but 2:01 for a collegiate/pro isn't as impressive as a high schooler setting an incredible mark for her age. And another thing where you said "you have to prove what it takes," I'm pretty sure Athing won a national championship and set a national record over 600m during the prior indoor season. Not a high school record or a high school championship, but at the senior level competing against professionals. I'd say she's earned her hype. And about Boling (who people just love to complain about for some reason), he was probably the most hyped up track runner last season, and he garnered mainstream attention not just from Track fans. Whether he deserved it or not I'm not gonna argue, but you can't really blame flotrack for trying to garner more views by using his name

this is the beauty of track though.....Boling will disappear into nothingness, while Robinson will go on to represent the USA in the Olympics and possibly be a WR holder in a relay or individually......eventually, the "hype" never gets its day....only the REAL achievers eventually are recognized when it counts....not on Flo-track....who cares....
