I have been Brady's fan for 22 years and that was NOT roughing the passer. Clean sack and gentleman tackle.

It's not just the awful " roughing the passer" call, but the previous "holding" call on the defense. Both, giving Tampa Bay 1st downs, and sadly- the officiating decided what the outcome would be here.

Damn somebody at Tampa must have some really good friends in league offices, 100% sure if the same thing happened to Mariotta, or in fact any other QB in the league, it's 4th down & punt

I'm not an Atlanta fan but to watch them battle back and come up with two 3rd down stops that were negated by horrible officiating makes you really despise these refs and want them to lose their jobs it's honestly just an embarrassment to the game we love

the exact same sack that Grady Jarrett tacked TB with is the same sack that they sacked Mariotta with early around 11:04 in the 4th quarter and it was just a regular play. I know it's a QB league but that's kinda wild and sad for defensive players lol

As a bucs fan this doesn’t feel like a win with the refs being so heavily involved in the outcome,with that being said salutes to the falcons for making it a good game

As a Falcons fan I’m grateful they didn’t give up! However, refs cheated with that play call why would you call that ? Jarrett clearly rolled Tom over that wasn’t roughing the passer! I’ve seen qbs done worse than that and that play wasn’t called! The falcons was down 21 and fought back! Good game fellas!

That roughing the passer call was the cherry on top of an absolutely horrendous job by the officials. Terrible all day. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I was holding my breath and praying Tom would be OK after he hit the ground so hard. Why wasn't Tom evaluated as per concussion protocol after that tackle? Oh, and the Ref should get official of the week for the "roughing the passer" call, amazing officiating.

When Brady got sacked and I immediately saw the flag I wasn't surprised. It's the league doing its thing protecting Brady and the Bucs. That was pretty evident.

Falcons would've ended the game if they got the ball back. They had all the momentum and they battled back. Falcons is a young team and they're just getting started

As a falcons fan I was super excited to see AJ terrell make so many highlights again. I mean its defensive holding, getting trucked by everyone, missing tackles, running into his own players, and giving up massive catches.

As a saints fan, I personally feel bad for the Falcons, I know exactly how they feel honestly, a chance to FINALLY beat Brady and the reffs give it to them.

I'm not a falcons or Bucs fan. All of these poor calls each week are not accidents. The NFL should just admit they point shave and stage games.

At that moment, I had hoped that Arthur Smith would have done something, anything, to get himself ejected from the game, and possibly suspended for a few games. That one bogus call sucked the life out of the Falcons.

Major Brady fan here and that was some BS roughing the passer call. That tackle might as well have been delivered with white gloves and a tuxedo it was so clean and dainty.

I was born and raised in tampa fl I'm a lifelong bucs fan but Brady whispered something to the ref then he made the call. He clearly controlled the motive there.

Love my Falcons! But definitely didn't like that call roughing the passer bs. I'm happy we stayed in there n didn't let Tampa have their way. We still need a few more key pieces on defense and offense though.

That was a gross call an I'd feel ill if I was a Falcons fan. I AM a fan of Mariota though - I've just always wanted him to do well in the NFL as I really enjoyed watching him and that Oregon offense in 2014/15. He's much better than he gets credit for. Or maybe I just want that to be true cos I like him. I mean I'm a Chiefs fan so it doesn't really change my day if ATL lose however I get the feeling that if the Falcons don't make the playoffs or if Marcus doesn't do insane numbers he'll end up as a back-up somewhere. Leading the Falcons to victory today would've proven a few doubters wrong but that roughing the passer call killed any chance of that. What a shame.

These "roughing the passer" calls Brady always seems to get is clearly a sign that the NFL has been helping brady win games since the infamous "tuck" rule

I can't believe this. First it was the holding on AJ that was within 5 yards, then the absolute dumb roughing the passer, then the backwards pass on the Evans screen...It's one thing to lose, it's another to have it completely robbed 3 times on one drive

As a Falcons fan I am I both lament days like today and yet feel encouraged... I really like seeing the fight in this team, I can only assume that Smith and Pees have really started changing the mentality of the locker room, there is grit and defiance in this group. I also am loving London and see so much potential in his and Pitts partnership. I however can’t shake the feeling we just really have to find a QB, a franchise QB is literally the foundation of a team and it’s hard to build without a solid one. I am terrified we are going to waste guys like Terrell, Pitts and London’s rookie contracts, thus cap space, trying to figure out who that QB should be.

That roughing the passer call has to be the worst i’ve ever seen. As we were down 21 - 0 in the 4th quarter we made a comeback effort like how we did against the rams, the grady jarrett sack was going to give us the football for a potential game winning drive but a terrible call and we lose the game because of it. I don’t blame the falcons at all, I am incredibly frustrated with these refs and their calls in this game.

I sure hope bryan Edwards will flourish soon..he was just in a loaded WR Draft Class..hope he comes back to Raiders when hes a free agent.

Mariota can’t be blamed for the 5 sacks that’s on the blocking. He let the ball go when it was on, not throwing any INTs. He’s sharp, he needs a weapon and a solid Oline oh man he’s 🔥

Officiating in this game was atrocious, the amount of protection Brady gets from the officials in every game is ridiculous.
