Hi paul as a novice to spinning i really find you videos instructive and your enthusiasm is infectious! would you recommend using a flying c for catch and release because i'm told it can be damaging to the fish as they are often hooked deep?, i cut of two of the hooks off mine to just have a single hook hoping to ease the unhooking of fish. Matthew Wallace hi Mathew. Single barbless hooks are good as they often fall out in the net when landed. I find that barbless hooks are much easier to extract and do less damage to the fish. I take the barbs off all my hooks whether fly fishing, spinning or prawning. In each case there is a chance that the hooks could go deep so it's best to debarb in every case.
