Listening to this on my headphones and the base and lead guitarist sounds good. "I've always been a Silver Shadow shining brightly for all to see". Love this song.✌💜
Herbert Mendez I think it's the summer of 1984. We used to have dance competition at jams in the park and block parties, I'm East NY. I remembered that year we used the end break for our mix playlist. It was dope. Memories...
Went to concert at the time Mary Jane Girls/Midnight Starr so it musta been '85 ( Distinctly remember a San Diego Charger made an appearance . So it was late football season and everybody in san diego was hyped) better than great!
Has to be one of the funkiest tracks out there so tight the bass line, drums, Chic like guitar rhythm at 05.10, the vocals the whole vibe really love this track
I agree! The background bass reminds me of Nile Rogers (Chic). Other, the guitars and synthesizers were so balanced, the entire sound was suddenly so mellow yet funky, you wanted to dance right away! You sensed Art, melody and beautiful harmonies. You certainly remember I Want you Love by Chic. Lovely!
@@trr7128 it's sequenced synthesizers The 80s ushered in the end of the studios and the dawn of MIDI (musical instrument digital interface). I still like the tune though :-)
Such a wonderful group full of talented musicians and two of the best female vocalists EVER. Ms. Sharon Bryant and Ms. Barbara Weathers featured on this particular song. Silver Shadow--my favorite Atlantic Starr song.
I just recommended this song for my 15 year old son, AJ Julian, who plays football for Macullum knights. It was a great motivational song for me and I hope it will do the same for him in his quest for his Silver Shadow !!!
2019 Silver Summer I'm still waking up the new school to the music from back in the day. Moving an Grooving August 31st will be 56 this will be on the playlist Thank you Atlantic Starr and thank you this rare mix video- Love it Love it
Love 💕 these sounds from back in the days such real clean down to earth music 🎶 that you can understand and groove too . Wish they would play these songs on the radio 📻
What I've noticed a lot is that music today likes to jump off the hook and do something unfitting, next to having little to no rhythm and focusing more on the lyrics than music and vocalist complimenting each other. Silver Shadow is an example of vocalist and music working together in harmony, especially on the chorous.
What a good reconstruct can transform all those overdubs. The unsung episode was kind of sad for this r&b dance pop musicians. Saw them in concert the year of this great album.
ya know this album had many killer bass lines when I think about it. When I tried to figure out the opening funky bass it appears its in dropped D or Eflat on E string on Silver Shadow. The guitar player is really good in ATLANTIC STARR. I saw the group live in San Diego around the release of this album in '85. The Lewis brothers were awesome
2020 June 13,It just dont seem that long ago Wow, wonderful time in my young 20's young, wild, carefree. Managed to settle down get married raise a family 29yrs Strong we good. Thanks for the upload, Yes yes ya'll
The '86 Album, ' As The Band Turns ' spaunned, " FREAK-A-Ristic " " If Your Heart, Ain't In It " " Secret Lover's " But THIS Track is the #1 Track, Off The Album, in My Opinion. I Can Play this Track 25X, B-2-B, and NEVER Get Tired of Hearing It ! It Reminds Each One of Us that The CREATOR Made Each One, UNIQUE. Each One has His or His Own SPECIAL 'vibration' in LIFE. I Often Listen to " Silver Shadow " when my Spirit is LOW. WE Are ALL COSMIC Beings. REMEMBER: " The Element 'SILVER' NEVER LOSES Its VALUE......."
