To me it felt more like a tales game. I've gotten nearly to the end of the game and can't finish it because the combat just feels boring. They had the director of dmc combat working on the gameplay and IMHO the combat feels really repetitive even when utilizing all of the eikon abilities. They tried to compromise between rpg and hack and slasher and they should have just went all in on the dmc hack and slasher.

I wasn't fully on board at first, but it has been speaking to me with every new bit of gameplay they put out. Still won't pre-order, haven't since Mass Effect Andromeda, but might pick it up day one, so long as it doesn't get delayed again.

@@jordondraggon1459 first off you don’t know me so don’t act like you do and you sure as hell don’t know what I do for a living or even if I have played it all that was nothing but pure assumptions. Second I actually watch IGN and a guy who was a beta tester and showed the different performances for each console and all the info including the frame rate which they both stated it ran smooth as hell except for the biggest bosses where it did dip but not below 55fps, btw I do actually Alpha & Beta test a lot of game and hate to tell you when Alpha or Beta Testing 98% of the time your required to sign an NDA so that means legally I couldn’t tell you if I am or not a tester for the game and if I did then I can be sued. So please learn to treat others the way you want to be treated instead of acting like you know people that you don’t and spitting out nothing but assumptions. Also the game is already set in stone stated by the developers which the game already got delayed three times over a year I also already got major updates for it so yeah good luck with your assumptions and they don’t release updates for games that get delayed plus it’s way to close to actually postpone it which usually has to be done at least 1 month before release.

This looks so good and so cool; not since stuff like Reckoning or Darksiders have I seen dynamic looking combat like this - I can't wait to get my hands on this! I also can't believe this is from Deck13. Like, I played Venetica and Blood Knights back in the day, but didn't realize until very recently that those were made by Deck13 - I know most people nowadays are more familiar with them as a Soulslike game dev thanks to the Lords of the Fallen and Surge games, but man, this studio just likes to try their hand at all sorts of action-RPGs, don't they? They've come so far since the Xbox 360/PS3 era, man.

Looking gewd. If they can keep increasing the amount of enemies and the dynamics of the fight while avoiding Meta Builds, the combat could be fun because we could see many different ways to play rather than the "strongest" or "fastest" but use the creativity of those 150+ essence stones to make the game look different in everyone's hands. I'd like to see 2-3 moves per attack type that we could swap in and out to change how we not only handle monsters but look while doing it. I hope there's a crazy creature at the core of the Sands. Maybe the difficulty rises as you go deeper into the Sands too. How far will you venture to seek the truth?

It’s literally impossible to avoid meta builds in systems like this.

@@byVehzo So long as the aspect of the core gameplay is about diversity and not damage or time to kill then Meta builds can be as well. Most games like this have META as they rely on stats per weapon rather than simply allowing the player to ADD stats to the weapon they want to play. So there is absolutely no reason in a fantasy world that a hammer HAS to be slower or do more damage than a Whip or whatever else they add. To sum it all up. Give players stats points for damage, speed and shatter and let us play with any weapon, any combo's without there being a subjective weak/strong slow/fast aspect. I'd love a fast hammer with minimal damage if I could also have a heavy Whip that deals massive amounts of damage just for fun. So remove the strict weapon stats and give them to the players and baseline all the weapons. This way any weapon, any build is possible.

Love how dynamic the combat is and monsters are responsive with each hit. Not like some game where monster just stand still when you hit them like nothing lol. However, Would be even better if the monster has AI to adapt to combat by evading and blocking our hits too. Like human vs human block evade counter with cool moves

There’s a power system to determine whether a guest player gets progress or not, whereas host always gets progress(I think).

I don't think I'm going to either. Tbh, I think I see through the lens of being fortunate to even play games. I think it is very likely going to be a solid final build of game, with the team being how they are and the delayed release date having been with its obligation. I even went so far as to get the Limited Edition, as a first time for me with games.

Oh thank goodness for it's small GB size, 21GB! Or so I read, Now I know without a question of doubt I'm getting this! Everything about this game looks sweet as, the most GB size I heard Is 350GB for that COD game, it's so unnecessary, this game tho, oh I know I'm never gonna tire of this game, it definitely appeals to what I enjoy in a game, I can't wait to be completely immersed in its world, big thanx to all who've worked on this game

Momentum gauge isn't unique, dynasty warriors 6 did that. And for the risk reward element, at least Godhand did that. Also speaking of Godhand... Essence stones seem very similar to that game's customization. This game definitely looks fun though. Also idk why I got the impression that this was an mmo lol.

Same, especially that monster body section in the left hand corner, seems like you have to break Monsters bit by bit, or lessen their attack/defense/speed with every part you break.

Is it going to be ‘souls-like’? Hope not. I maybe it’s going to be like Devil May Cry where you can beat the game even if you’re not very agile and skilful, but at the same time the demanding players don’t get bored
