Tamaki Seisakusho's gasoline portable cans with a capacity of 5 liters or less do not come with a protective material to protect the center protrusion. Protective material is included for products over 10 liters. I don't know if it's not included because it's not needed or if it's a cost-cutting measure, but I installed a protective material using Trusco's nitrile rubber, which has excellent oil resistance.
Trusco's nitrile rubber cushions are V-shaped, making them easy to install. It is fixed with double-sided tape.
This Trusco nitrile rubber can also be used as a bottom cover for Coleman gasoline lanterns. In that case, it will not fit into the original lantern case because it is too thick. If you force it in, it will fit, but the nitrile rubber will deform.
I also installed a protective molding on the bottom using leftover nitrile rubber. This is optional, as it is recommended that the bottom of the gasoline can be grounded to prevent static electricity.
Gasoline is dangerous. Be careful when handling it.

田巻製作所のガソリン携帯缶は、昔から販売している安心安全の国産品ですが、5リットル以下の製品には中央の出っ張りを保護するサイドモールが付いていません。10リットル以上の製品には付いています。必要ないから付いていないのか、安価にするためのコストカットなのか、昔からなのでよくわかりませんが、保護材として、耐油性に優れたトラスコのニトリルゴムでサイドモールを取り付けました。

トラスコのニトリルゴム製クッションは、V字型なので取り付けやすい形状です。両面テープで固定しています。
コールマンのガソリンランタンのボトムカバーとしても使えます。その場合は、厚みがあるので純正のランタンケースには入りません。無理やり押し込めば入りますが、ニトリルゴムが変形します。
余ったニトリルゴムで底部の保護モールも取り付けました。静電気対策としてガソリン携帯缶の底部は接地するのが望ましいので、これはオプションです。私の保管場所、運用スタイル、危険物に対する知識や資格を鑑みて行っている行為なので参考に留めてください。
ガソリンは危険物です。取り扱いには十分注意しましょう。
赤ガスをキャンプで使用する方々は、基本的にガソリンを日常で使う方々（農機具を使う方々や有資格者等）と思いますが、そうでない場合はホワイトガソリンやコールマン燃料を使用しましょう。
