Thanks for the video! Im a furniture maker and im building my first acosutic guitar, and its really nice to see how others do things! A little trick from the industry, as I notice you going through a lot of trouble not to have pieces slide around when gluing , is to add a pinch of salt to you glue joint ( not much ) place pieces where you want them , and you can just clamp it down, it wont move at all, it can save hours and take the stress out of glue up that need to be precise!
It looks like most viewers are familiar with building guitars, but I just love watching you work, the attention to detail is amazing. Keep up the great videos.
I know from experience that if you can bend the sides, you can cut the fire slots! Go for it the next time. Solid, clear, and (thankfully) brief videos. Well done.
Well done! I ordered premade fretboards for the first few guitars that I built too because it seemed like there were too many ways to screw it up. Now I just make them myself. With a little practice, it's not that bad. The most important part is to make sure that your stock is absolutely straight and square and flat when you start out.
Nice work Adam! Question: Did I miss the installation of the truss rod? Also, I agree about having the slots pre-cut & the fretboard radiused. Good move............Steve
Thanks Steve! Yeah you must have missed it - here's a link to the truss rod video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H5XEAjlIW0g.html. Thanks!
