Just want to add, attachment "seeks" special aspects while rejecting others. Love "understands" the whole, the totality.

When you become enlightenment enough to love someone without being afraid of losing them you experience the most amazing love you could possibly imagine. Very few people in the world become this enlightened. If you are one of the few, you will find the firts time you experience this kind of detached love you will realise everyone you ever loved in the past was just a near perfect illusion of love.

True for all types of relationships and other scenarios. Loving nature, people, even things. IMO, one of the saddest attachments (opposite of love) is that of a parent towards child.

Thats why you can not love you’re country for example thats always attachment , because you’re country is not real and only one idee . You can only love real things not concepts . As soon as it a concept its attachment and not love .
