Company 5 dispatched as second due engine company to a working flue fire in our second due area to the north. called in by radio by a company 6 member and with company 6 apparatus on scene soon after, it was a working flue fire with fire in the floor and walls. The structure was saved and units cleared up after ensuring the fire was extinguished.

You guy's rock. Brought back memory's. Live out here in Northern Nevada. Started out as a volunteer,did that for 9 years than got on a fire department on a base. Did that for another 9 years till my body said no more.

We were literally the second engine in. First due had their engine and a 3000 gallon tanker on top. We jut did as we were told. We cannot explain to you why it was put off until our arrival.

ALBERTO MADEIRA JR The apparatus did not, it layed in 3 inch supply line from a hydrant and the engineer stayed with the truck. The rest of the crew however did go interior.

terry cooper If you read the description you would see that we were second due to this in our county. Company 6 is first due and was right down the street. A mutual aid company in Alleghany county was also much closer than we were and was also on this call. Also 100 percent of the structure is still standing upon arrival of our rig.

Seem to have missed that it's across the street from a fire station. 16:10 is the approach sign, 16:17, it's on the right.

TheOfficalJW If youd bother reading the description youd see that we were seond due company. Meaning that there is a firehouse much closer.

If you look just before they pulled in the fire driveway there is a fire station warning sign on the side of the road. I would say the fire was within 100 feet of station 6. Time marker 16:10 on the right hand side. You can even seen the station.
