Dude appeared from nothing, changed the entire plot and left after one episode. also got one of the best ost in the series. Ladies and gentlemen, the gigachad of aot
@@corn2214 eren has his full memory. Not the other way round. And in the beginning of s4, the all act eren put on is inspired from kruger only. Also, eren has become much more stoic and serious.
@@madarauchiha8459 it wasn’t an act it’s who he is you’re probably a chapter 139 defender. And it doesn’t matter who has who’s memory Eren influenced him to do everything
@@madarauchiha8459 Yeah, exactly. Finally someone who picks up on this. After seeing his father's memories, Eren models himself after Kruger and wishes to continue the Restorationist's cause. Why else would he take on the alias of "Kruger" while staying in Marley. Just like you said, he "becomes much more stoic and serious." Its reminiscent of Kruger's attitude and demeanor. Who else before Eren said "Tatakae"? It was Kruger. Eren even repeats the same speech that Kruger gave Grisha on the wall. While the survey corp make their way to the ocean, they stumble upon a Titan. A Titan that Eren refers to as a "fellow patriot". The implication being that Eren identifies with the Restorationist movement and considers himself a "patriot" as well.
Isayama got rejected a lot in the former times but there was this guy at bessatsu magzine who liked his idea and encouraged him to work on it . I think we should thank that guy too who knows there might never have been aot ..
"You must get more comfortable in social situations. You must make a good impression on your wedding and during your interviews." Isayama: "Wedding? Interviews? What are you talking about?" "Huh? Who knows? Whose memories are these, I wonder....."
@@rajadarwish4712 i knew who said this. Though i didnt read the manga but i think i have the idea who says this. And yes that quote is best. I just stated this comment based on series till s3 only.
"The only truth in this world is that there is no truth. Anyone can become a god or a devil. All it takes is for people to believe it" -Kruger (The owl)
Yep, the twist plot of him pushing Gross already left me speechless... but the fact he's a titan shifter thrown away few seconds later..! Cherry on the cake.
It was the exact same in the manga, still is. He only appeared for about 4 chapters and yet he is still one of the most favourite characters for a lot of people. He's great.
The Hawk he has almost infinite charisma and from the moment he pushed the Marley captain. No from the moment he called Grisha to sit and watch the zeppelin. He earned our admiration
@@bait5257 Yes, it is. It has no German roots. But i think, since there are a lot of Turkish immigrants living in Germany for decades that could be the reason Isayama named the character Eren. I don't know if he had the etymology of the name in mind though when he was naming the character.
What a character... He didn't sleep, stayed awake during a night of many years, doing the darkest things for eldias future. Ladies and Gentleman : The Owl
@@TsunaXZ how?? everything the attack titan does is for freedom, but you’d rather Kruger be a slave to Eren’s will? Bullshit, Kruger did so much for the Eldians OUTSIDE the walls, but you think he would stand by and let Eren trample them.
@@carlitossuerpo5278 You are wrong mate Kruger killed thousands of his comrades while he felt deep sorrow for it he saw them as a needed sacrifice in order fight Marley and bring back Eldia so of all the shifters he would have been the one to sympathize and support Eren the most
The barn owl represents him very accurate. It is a solitude, silent and in the same time vicious predator. Their sight is also similar -emotionless and cold...
@@Anonymous07192 All for the sake of freedom in a cruel world. He gave up his sanity and demoralized his own people. Just so the vision Through Grisha Yeager...no through Eren Yeager can be forseen as freedom for not just the Eldians to reach a possible reality of freedom but maybe this cruel world becomes less cruel.
Im 2 years late but Kruger himself says he's done nothing but peel nails off of his own people. It's so poetic in a way. It's almost like what happens with Hange, Armin, Connie...they have to kill their friends to keep moving forward.
@@paulv7744 the goal justifies the means Just like Eren, he's willing to kill Eldians on the continent (better dead than living like slaves) like other humans to save Paradis' Eldians.
@@ReVoX161 It's probably something to deal with paths, like explained by Eren "a host said to have seen something like a path, paths that connect all Ymir subjects", whether past, present or future I guess
I am here now. Started watching AoT when it came out in 2013. I was 13 back then. Now I am 23. The moment I saw Krüger he stuck at my head. There won't be something similar to AoT. My heart man..
Considering armin, and where the story goes after this, its the song of the cost of freedom. Triumphant but sorrowful. I like that this is the peice to mark the REAL start of AOT
In the span of a minute bro managed to become the most interesting side character without trying and got one of the best themes in the entire anime by far my favorite character
"if you can't do that, it'll only repeat" such an underrated quote from the Owl if you don't show your love to your son and force your beliefs on him, he'd turn against you, just like Zeke did. That's why Grisha treated Eren differently, he never told him the truth about what's hiding behind the walls, he waited until he understood Eren's thoughts and goals, and then he told him "when I come back, I will show you the basement"
Hassan Idlaasri are you manga reader? if not, then you are still innocent about that. XD truly, isayama is great author. and i dont wanna spoil information that not yet avaiable from anime.
@@vesago1148 it could be understood that way too. But *Spoiler I guess* It could also mean that AoT is..a freaking loop. History repeats itself. We need this confirmed because jufieozldld 😭 it is a freaking loop. Explains the very first episode of AoT and Kruger's words.
I'm surprised that the holders of the Attack Titan didn't suffer back pain from carrying the Eldian nation's future Edit: Fuck this shit the ending did a disservice to the cause of the Restorationists
@@bait5257 Stfu, he only did the essential shit bc Eren Jaeger was stepping in at key points. In Chapter 137 don't try to excuse that sorry fuck from attempting to stop the rumbling. Isayama sabotaged his own character and y'all dumbasses still tryna defend that.
@@senseinuuh the last episode was a disaster. it didnt embody at all the strong emotions and the heavy discussions between kruger and grisha on the shore. So i am not so confident about the animation of the coming chapters
@@coffeearabica1459 actually yeah abd mous is right, mainly because they skipped a lot of dialogue from the manga. Basically they discuss more stuff about the reality of Ymir Fritz, and how things aren't black and white, and Kruger is more interesting. But it would've made the entire episode purely dialogue. There is a chance the final episode will bring up the remaining dialogue with Kruger that wasn't shown in the anime.
They don't though. They just want to see things they can relate to & since most of the world are treated badly they feel this sensation of belonging in suffering. The day where chaos will be better controlled instead of letting it spread by incompetent & selfish government establishments will be the day where it all change. They just don't have any spine to do what needs to be done. You can find meaning & contentment in peace & calm. Peace is not an illusion & it can last. The world doesn't need to work on rage. The only reason it does is because of the overly dangerous amount of uneducated people on earth. The majority of human beings on earth are far from being civilized. They all are acting on animal instinct because they have not yet evolved & those who have & are born with a decent brain are cast out & crucified because of their difference & low numbers deeming them abnormal. I'd say only 5% of our world is filled with civilized & decent people. Worst is that those people who have brains don't reproduce because they know this world is hell & don't want to bring anyone here to suffer. The majority who reproduce like crazy are imbeciles & unevolved races from poor countries. Anyone with any decent amount of intelligence would tell you that we need to control who give birth & who can raise children. Letting everyone have their say is voluntarily asking for destruction.
@@ibnljanoob How perfect? There was a thematically issue in terms of cohesion between the "love tragic theme", its development and its introduction to the story (which was rushed in a single chapter) How is that perfect? I correct your statement: "Well, ending was perfect FOR ME" The only truth that we can search for is the literature narrative quality, which had mistakes so it is far from perfect objectively BUT everyone can have their own opinions.

I wished he actually died but alas, protect characters because fans can be pussies to seeing a character die, just like when people saw jiraiya die in naruto or iron man dying in end game.
@@Alpha-gk6hd ?? Armin revival had a sense (all the dilemna between him and Erwin) not like he was brought back without purpose, killing 2 MC together is dumb, that make a lesser impact, only side character can be massacre altogether ^^
This series plays in other leagues boy, anime is pretty generic except for a very little reduction. It's probably better than majority of conventional series
@@rafaelros2307 GOAT means Greatest of all time. Anime like Steins Gate , Fate zero, Monster ,Hunter X Hunter etc are considered as GOAT. Even Aot had become GOAT.
There’s no truth in this world Anyone can become good or evil depending on who tells the story. - Eren Kruger We live in just one cruel world because that’s the way it is. - Eren Yeager
Haven't watched star wars so I cant tell but attack on titan did good in having a setup for that reveal of spy. If you go back and watch it then you'll know what Im talking
Before I started Attack On Titan, I always doubted the praise about it on the internet and how everyone claimed it to be "one of the best animes out there", then I started watching Attack On Titan.
When you know that actually Karl Fritz's secret pact-promise was doing everything to save eldia an erradicate the Titans... But some random owl with a so called Eren will mess it up lol (so sad read the manga)
Daniel kinda horrifying to picture when you think about it. Marley would have launched a full scale attack on Paradis and the Eldians would have had no idea why they were being slaughtered. On top of that, there would have been no Titan shifter on their side to help them.
Honestly this show wasn't even masterclass as an anime, it was masterclass as a show entirely. All the cliques or stereotypical groups of kids in my highschool that you would never have expected to have watched stuff like this, especially in Britain, wouldn't stop talking about Attack on Titan and how "Holy shit a new series is coming out". You can definitely tell an anime is fantastic when people who don't even watch anime are just as enthralled by it, this is THAT anime.
Ik right, im not a big anime fan (3-4 animes in my life) but fuck ive never seen a plot that complicated and well made, with some badass ost, to the point this anime almost give life lessons

1:31- 2:05 should have been the OST for Eren's transformation in episode 5, what do you think? Especially when it has kind of the vibes they were going for with 2Volts but this one is more epic especially since Eren was using the owl's full name too.
@@fatezero8662 look if you ask me I would want them to use this music for every epic scene lmao. And btw Kruger is one of my fav characters. But I don't think this Would've worked in the declaration of war since nothing was revealed in that scene to be specific. In krugers case it was a damn amazing surprise and gave me chills. But in Episode 5 we knew that was eren so in my opinion this wouldn't fit. Tho I read the manga listening to this soundtrack lmao. I don't really know which soundtrack they should've used for this scene but the best choice I can come up with is 2 volts 4:40 to 5:25 since it is miles better than the part they used. But I believe they are saving it for another big scene.
@@fatezero8662 No, episode 5 reveal is supposed to be a terrible event not a triumphant one. literally hundreds of people will die because of what eren is about to do.

The attack titan- born from ymir's will of freedom. Passed down for thousands of years in secrecy among people who sought freedom for eldia. From Eren Kruger to Grisha Yeager to Eren Yeager. Now finally the founder and attack are in a single vessel. Freedom can finally be achieved.
I like that. That means every titan can be a part of Ymir that was split: - The female titan is likely due to his womanhood being exploited and almost broken - The Colossal titan can represent her massive sheer power and scale - The hammer titan her ability to build things for Eldia And the list can go on.
Amen. Heroic at the same time sorta helpless. Victorious and tragic at the same time. Kinda like how the protagonists felt when they reached the Ocean. They hadn't reached their freedom. They had only reached the next war. More innocent lives lost, more bloodshed. A never ending cycle.
@@RIStar-ds7wr The Attack Titan killed and ate the 9th, on their first fight aswell. Sure the warhammer can harden any object, which is a really cool power, but that wasn't enough to stop Eren lol.
@@kejserrige Actually it was lol. Eren just got help from Mikasa. I don't think he would've won without help from her considering close quarters is pretty much the Warhammer Titans Forte.
@@slothful2039 Exactly. In a 1v1 Attack Titan would lose to Warhammer Titan. But even so, let's not forget the Founding Titan is automatically the strongest Titan, even if it's currently with Eren. It can control all other Titans, therefore the default winner in any scenario.
Have you re-read chapter 1 after 120-121? The tree Eren is sleeping under has 9 branches and the phrase he says to Mikasa....goddamn Isayama blew my mind for like..the fourth time lol
@@yourlocalpostboy5991 There is a possibilty that the "longest dream" Eren wakes up at the beginning is basically the end of his life that he saw in the future OR Ymir showing him her past, calling him to find her at chap 122.
Eren Kruger scenes were one of the few times I preferred dub over sub. I think his line in the dub "watch closely, and don't forget, this is how we of the nine use our power" hits harder. I also prefer the English voice actor for Kruger over the original, the dub just did an overall amazing job with Eren Kruger
It's sad that many his dialogues are getting cut in anime. Seriously for anime only i recommend you to read the manga from chapter 86-89.and you will know why eren kruger is one of the best character in AoT
@@shingekino2973 A lot got cut. Besides the incredibly important line where Kruger states the "real history" he gave Grisha was fake (seriously, so many anime onlies believe the Eldian Empire was nearly 100% good because that line was cut), there was also a lot of character related dialogue that got cut. They made the Owl's role nearly entirely expositional, when in the manga he underwent actual development during their conversation.
Everyone should watch Attack on Titan at least once. It's more than an anime. It's a masterclass in characterization, storytelling, soundtrack and pacing. There's no other experience like watching this show for the first time.
Yeah its comparable to reading Harry Potter for the first time in Middle school for me. I dont care much for Harry Potter now but at the time it was the best series ever for me.
"I've done this for so long, that... I've become used to it. Shameful isn't it, how can a man ever become used to sending his own brethren to the slaughter..."
Idk why but this theme, for some reason, is really nostalgic. Brings back old childhood memories, even though I have only heard it a few months back while watching AOT for the first time.
