Catholicism is not the true faith of the apostles, it's best that you continue on your spiritual journey and come join the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church which is Eastern Orthodoxy. Dear brother/sister in Christ. If a woman decides to cover their head as a sign of obedience towards the teachings of the Apostles or as a way to imitate The Most Holy Mary the Mother of God and the rest of the female Saints, of course they will have greater boldness towards the Lord in their prayers. But, this is just an addition, after all there are far more important things for someone to do than cover their heads.

It has been a trend in western Christianity to abandon certain godly practices which they find inconvenient. We should follow the saints and their examples. Do'nt go by what evangelicals and their mega churches do. They are departing from the way of the Fathers.

@@josethottumkal Yeah, I agree with what you say, I just wanted to focus on that there are other more important aspects to spiritual life than covering the head. Take for example St. Maria of Egypt she was completely naked and that didn't affect her boldness towards the Lord at all (thought she was all alone in the desert). We shouldn't focus on the external part too much, else we might end up as the heretics, that only look on appearances and not the true spiritual side of things. A lot of heretical teams have kept the outer appearances (covering the head, no use of lipstick etc), just like the Apostles told us to do, but they forgot to keep the internal spiritual aspect. People will fix their appearances by themselves, once their internal spirituality is fixed.

He uses only Catholic theologians and texts to show how far the modern Roman Catholic church has departed from its origins. It was extremely helpful for my husband & me. We found that to be true to our Catholic heritage we had to join the Unchanged Church of the Apostles, Orthodoxy. Even if they seek the One True God in their religion, then they should be open to Christ our King, as He is the only true way to the father. Is it not more expedient and helpful to discard errant beliefs for True belief, even if doing so loses one's traditions? For the worth of a tradition is found in the truth of its foundation, i.e., how the traditions of the church superseded that of the Jews because Jesus, Truth incarnate, fulfilled and surpassed the Law and the Prophets.

@@konnorporter5115 i like your perspective. nontheless would i be careful, because the church did not supersed jewish traditions. from what i understand at this point, jesus did supersed the jewish laws about eating, and added the law of "give love to your nearest like u love yourself", but he did not supersed jewish tradition itself. he gave birth to a new tradition which we call christendom. i´d say christendom is the expansion of judeism. because i know that holding the 10 commandments that moses received for the judaistic alliance with god is worthy following also for us.

Don't worry, many orthodox churches are not cliquey and just because they are under a certain jurisdiction e.g. Russian, Greek or Serbian, does not mean that they are only for those types of people. My orthodox church i go to has many russians but there are also multiple converts who are not russian, it's a great atmosphere and it is welcoming, the first day i came in people spoke to me including the priest and we discussed me converting. Note that with 'Roman Catholicism' when it arrived in certain countries the populations that brought it were often non native ethnic populations anyway (same in some cases with protestants, and really many religions), it is hypocritical of non orthodox to attack orthodoxy in this way because they can have very similar ethnic situations yet that's not talked about as much. What's most important is what's true, not what is convienient. God Bless you on your journey brother!

When Taxiarch Michael makes the statement 'he is mine', what he means is 'God has ordained that he is under my protection'.
