Attempting to fix the core support on the RSX!

In a previous episode over a year ago, I acknowledged that the RSX had something wrong with the front end. Well its time to try and fix that!

Devil Z Wangan Midnight Thanks! Check the lower side first to make sure its straight. Most the time it does this because someone tried jacking the car up from the bottom of the core support.

Thats a difficult question to answer through a comment. Its a delicate balance of pulling the core support in different directions from specific points depending on how it is bent.

Could you give a link or something on the dimensions/measurements. I’m rebuilding mine and nothing’s lining up to well would like to get the exact measurements before finishing up

Hey! Quick question what kind of intake manifold are you running on your rsx?

Stock PRB Type S. K series benefits a lot from RBC manifold and throttle body, but will require a tune to not run lean.

just a note.. the hood is suppose to be slightly overhang and not line up exactly with the lines of the bumper you're refering to so the passenger side seems right. the driver's side lines up perfect and thats your concern you should be looking at. hope that helps

Thanks for the info! My main concern now is the gap between the headlights and the hood. I got some cross measurements last night from ClubRSX and the passenger side is off about 3/8” still too. At this point its hard to tell whats right, and whats wrong.

Perhaps replacing the core support is for you. If you are handy and have a welder, you can drill out the spot welds and replace the core support. Otherwise, it may be best to take it to a body shop.
