Video Game Field Themes. Whether it be for a starting area or a main over world hub, video game field themes always have a way of making you feel like you're on a grand adventure. They can really help the world feel vast. Sometimes the theme can help convey the dangers that surround you and your character. Now the question is: can a 10 minute attempt at a video game field theme convey the same feelings? Maybe not, but it's worth a shot! I put together this one as I didn't have anything for this week, but it was fun to make. This is "Attempting to Make a Video Game Field Theme in 10 Minutes". I hope you enjoy!

I think these making the thing in 10 minute videos are great for aspiring musicians. Many people think you need inspiration and to think it on the spot. While that can happen, here you're showing experience and approaching the song with a theme and plans in mind are possible.

A few trees dotted the plains, as well as a few fuzzy moss covered mounds scattered here and there. Overlooking the scene in the distance is a vast mountain. "The Hidden City is nearby," Your Overlander ally says, "If we can just get over to the mountain..." "Not a problem!" Your close Freedom Fighter partner replies, "We made it this far!" You agree to that statement the most danger you encountered were some stray robots here and there. However, you had a uneasy feeling in your gut every time you glance at the strange moss mounds. It's just nerves, you tell yourself. Shaking aside the feeling, you stood up, "Well, what are we waiting for?" You say, mimicking the confidence of your partner, "We got fields to cross and a mountain to climb!" The Freedom Fighters set out into the field, but as you take one last glimpse of the strange mounds, you can't help but notice that they seem to be...moving...

I love how Cicada is scared to resolve the melody due to the time constraint so he keeps the melody up in the air between phrases. Leads to a very uneasy feeling .

Take off the time limit! It can be a fun challenge and make for funny, panicky voice lines, but it only held you back this time. We watch these videos to see you write a song, but a lot of what we saw here was just lazy songwriting because you were so pressured by the time constraint. You edit out the boring stuff anyways, so there’s really not a downside to giving yourself more time to write a decent song. Aside from having more footage to edit. Hope you’re doing okay in these hard times, Shady

Hmm, I mean, it is a thousand times better than everything I can do, but... There are some things I think you should change. First, the Bassoon is waay too quiet, and the violin just drowns the poor guy. Aside from that, the long notes on the Bassoon sound cooler. Perhaps keep the short notes for the build up and solo, to make it stand out? However, the choice of instruments is really nice. Didn't expect it to work that well with only 4 instruments. Are we getting a full version for 1 of your PROJECTs?
