THE 1934 Ford with aftermarket trunk is almost the same as the Bonnie and Clyde death car. This auction Ford here has a slightly different aftermarket trunk with trunk hinges in a different location. It does have the same rear tire steel cover. This difference could be changed if someone had to have the same car as B+C. They were very evil people.
The 1934 Ford is the exact model that outlaws Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed and killed in. Their death car had the rare raised model trunk also. The car was officially a 1934 Ford, 4 door Deluxe Sedan Model 730. They stole the car with 8 hundred miles on it and when they were killed a month or so later the odometer read 8500 miles or so.
IMHO, the best deals of the day were the Stude Starlite, the Cushman Eagle w/extra tank, the two Cushman stationary engines and the Huber tractor. The Suzuki snowmobile at 50 bucks was quite a bargain as well. The auctioneers proclaiming, "no title" was funny. If you know anyone living in South Dakota, they can get you a new title if no registration in the past ten years, for... $5!
My favorite piece by far was the early Huber tractor with the over the top chain and sprocket steering system. Loved the exposed oval fuel tank and the spark plugs on the side of the engine loved the look even had some great patina going on. Also belt to power other equip. Awesome piece for only $250.00 what!!!
Buying at auction tip. 17:50-18:00 watch guy bid on car, he puts his hand under his chin. This is a gesture that means “cut bid down in half”. Example auctioneer has a bid at $500 already, now auctioneer is asking $1000. If you signal under your chin at throat, instead of you bidding at $1000, you are bidding $750. Once you’ve done this move, a good auctioneer will recognize you are not a rookie and do not wish to overspend. The rest of the day he will likely give you reduced prices.
That Tudor was a steal at 500 bucks and the 2 T coupes were a steal....if they were here locally I woulda never got them that cheap....(central Cali)..😂😂
Good show today! It's a shame that you didn't get that lawn mower, ha ha😅 I could just see you sitting on it, being towed over to your trailer, and then getting winched up onto that big ol' flatbed, hee hee😆! Have a great evening, my friend. Take care of yourself and tell your pop. "Hey" for me👋😃✌️
Tim, I would like to get to one of these auctions with you to experience all the goodness of these farm auctions. Please know that to would be paying for the experience myself!
that bonnie and clide ford was pure gold at $18 grand, and the stude for 7 bills was a good buy, my brother had one when i was a kid, he used hide his beers in the tubs beside the rear seats when he went to drive-in movies all thse years ago, dumpster pop western australia
Overall good buying prices. The auctioneer was quick to close out each item as if he had a hot date waiting. Stiff terms: basically cash for the car sales.
Huber has Waukesha engine. Good runners.Cushman on wagon was 50 bucks below market. Cushman binder engine was spot on. Fairbanks Morse was a good buy .AL B.
They keep referring to these cars as "ANTIQUES"....I want to know why. I thought an antique was an item over one hundred years in age or older.....am I wrong?
I bought one of the parts cabinets in the building and was loading the next day and the model T inside resold for $4K. I bought the mag for the huber and the new owner didn't seem interested, it must be going to scrap
Some things sold EXTREMELY cheap. The nice tractors, the 59 Ford was ridiculously cheap, even the Studebaker went quite cheap. I was bidding on a few items in my mind. Without having any use for those things. It broke my heart that you did not buy the Henry J. It was rough, I admit that. Let us pray that it stays as original as possible and will not be "butchered".
For 425 dollars i would of been all over that silver LTD. Looks like it would of cleaned up nice. For sure i would of got rid of those hideous aftermarket hubcaps.
The second gas tank on the Non functional highly neglected Lawnmower engine equipped thing is definitely not OEM & stupidly hazardous especially in the pending crashes from the rear basically a Dinto on two wheels.
Funny how Podge didn't Class action Sue Fluzuki for copy right infringement & model name stealing for name a stupidly rare highly desirable by the right mental disorder horder for using Fury as a name designation when said Podge been using said now Snow machine specific nameplate.
