Stick around to see Joe check out the car I bought him, then catch the "Recaps" for analysis of the sold prices against the market as a whole!

There's way more old family farms in your neck of the woods than I thought Mr. GP. Lots of cool vintage vehicles and items on them. Thank you for taking us along.

A Chevy very similar to this was the oldest car we ever restored in our body shop. It was never off the road and owned by one family from brand new to the late Eighties. After we finished the restoration the owner sold it soon after. I never found out how he could do that. That was the car he had learned to drive in. He was rich and not to old and fragile to drive it. Some people seem to have not enough sense for family memories.

@@nickzobel9922 I have a happy family for over thirty years. But I will NEVER sell the 63 Belair my Dad bought in the Sixties. We toured Europe with it since I am a little boy. My Dad handed the car over to me 42 ago, I dated my wife in it, made many trips with my family and my wife and kids love the car as well. My daughter started driving all my classics. And I garantee you: I am absolutely NOT lonely!

Good tires and pretty clean! I think all it really needs is some light bulbs replaced and it would be a great driver! Its also low mileage!

I remember when I was twenty years old. I tried to buy a 59 Plymouth 4d registered and in running condition. I collected every cent I had. When I reached the place to buy it I found out that I was to late. The guy said it never occurred to him that this car might be a classic vehicle. Well that was 43 years ago and the car was still quite cheap back then. In Switzerland those cars were quite rare but they had a mopar assembly line. GM produced also a lot of cars in my Province. The Belair we own since 67 was also Swiss assembled one: Different colors, different VIN, Swiss made interiors.The Swiss made cars were of better quality than the US built ones. I have seen pictures of the Swiss GM assembly line here: It was unbelieavable. There were all kind of models on the assembly lines: A Opel Coupe in front of a Cheyy and a Ranger. Many brands and models behind each other.

@mr.goodpliers6988
@mr.goodpliers6988 Год назад
Main factor was the distance - I did not want to make a second trip that far. The good part was, the guy who bought the other has a small classic car parts operation (similar to ours) much closer to the sale site. So it worked out best for everyone, and it will be available to people in their area for parts

I just hope these early prewar cars get restored original, instead of being hot rodded..it is so rare to see an original one, the way they were when new, and still seen daily on the road...that's pretty much the way I like to see any car(or truck), but seeing these early ones like that are super rare...there is so, so much butchering and hacking of what few survivors of these cars there are still around, or modding them to the point there is probably less than 10% of an original car left in the "build".....

@misfittoys8883
@misfittoys8883 Год назад
It gives the winning bidder the option to pick whichever item he wants, or even all of them at the winning nid for each item. If the winning bidder chooses to not take all the items, the ones left over are still the sellers property and are run through the bid process again

If the supports had been rotted that guy that stood on them could have damaged it. I hate to seem picky but we have a lot of trouble with people taking liberties with collector cars. Do grab a prewar, orphan brands also fun to own and often real cheap compared to popular models. Many were better constructed than Ford/GM like Hudson, Essex etc.

If I had that kind of cash to throw around, I'd put it in land, not a depreciating asset
